Extracurricular athletics are valued activities here at Jackson Creek.
Administrators, sponsors and coaches strive to provide well-organized, meaningful activities for students.
It is only through the cooperation and support of all parties involved, to include parents and students,
that we are able to provide quality athletic programs.
 
 

Fall Athletic Sign-ups

The beginning of summer vacation means that the fall sports schedule at Jackson Creek is just around the corner.  As an incoming 7th or 8th grade student at JCMS, you are invited to sign up for one of our fall sports. 


Football:         Football is a fun and active team sport for players of all sizes. Football is an excellent preparation sport for basketball and wrestling athletes as it promotes conditioning and teamwork. The 7th and 8th grade football will begin with voluntary conditioning on Monday July 21st  from 5:00 p.m.-6:30 p.m. at Olcott Park.  Prior football experience is not necessary to join the team. Players will need to wear tennis shoes, shorts and bring a water bottle. Cross Country: If you are interested in a sport for girls and boys that helps you achieve your potential, then you should try Cross Country. We stretch and run at practices for about an hour and we push ourselves towards our meet running distances of 1.8 to 2 miles. Runners pace themselves and improve their personal time throughout the season. Our season begins in August and goes to the second week of October, so it's great conditioning for winter sport athletes (basketball, wrestling, swimming).  The first official practice will begin on August 5th after school until 4:30. Please bring water bottles and be ready for a short run. If you have questions please contact Coach Qualley (mqualley@mccsc.edu).


Volleyball:      Voluntary volleyball open gym for incoming 7th and 8th graders will start Tuesday July 8th from 6:00-8:00 in the JCMS gym and run Tuesdays and Thursdays through the remainder of the summer. These open gyms are not mandatory, but they will be a great opportunity for you to learn and practice your fundamental and team skills as well as condition. Tryouts will be held Wednesday August 6th- Friday August 8th from 3:00-5:00. If you have any questions please contact  Coach Samantha Fritz at sjfritz85@gmail.com
