Kovalam is a beach town on the Arabian Sea in Kerala, a state in south India. KOVALAM BEACH. A world-famous beach of Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum) city, Kovalam has been a favourite haunt of tourists since 1930s. Lovely coconut palms fringe the golden beach. A rocky promontory and three crescent beaches are the major attractions. Foreigners throng Ayurvedic parlours that have sprung up all over the place.
