This site is not connected or affiliated with any government or commercial websites.

There are no ads or paid links, it's just a site to gather all the links for searching for ancestors who've lived in or passed through Hudson County NJ.  This site is to help everyone find genealogical resources for Hudson County, NJ.
It's better than bookmarks (favorites) for every link.  I use it all the time when researching and when traveling.

This site is bigger than I thought it would be but if you have any links to info to share, or a yearbook that you've scanned or indexed, I will put it here.
In most cases I've posted the links showing the link address, so you can see where you're going.

Doing research for relatives in Jersey City, Bayonne, Hoboken, Union City, West New York, Guttenberg, Secaucus, Kearny, Harrison, East Newark, North Bergen, Weehawken in Hudson County, New Jersey ?

If you're trying to find relatives between 1800 - 1930, it's not easy.  You've probably been looking for years.  There's hardly anything online or is there?

You've probably seen my posts on the Hudson, NJ message boards, since 2008 I have volunteered to look up Holy Name cemetery
burials from the microfilms as a way of giving back because others helped me with questions and  direction. (foredsmail)
I've been doing my ancestry for six years and here's some of the stuff I've found.

Most Hudson County offices and records are located in Jersey City.  Birth, Marriage and Death are now located in Trenton, NJ.

Why pay hundreds, thousands of dollars to people or websites, save your money to send away for the records that you can't get online.
These pages I've made are like Random Acts of Genealogical Kindness for Hudson County but self serve.  (RAOGK.org is now departed)

On the internet you can find birth, marriage, death, passenger ship, cemetery, books, obituary and census records, free or cheap!

This is a free website I have made from google sites.

Everything on these pages are free.

Top right in this photo is NY City.

The State line comes right down the middle of the Hudson River but Liberty Island (Statue of Liberty) belongs to NY???
Ellis Island belongs to NJ and NY.

A Brief history and census population tables can be found at wikipedia by choosing the city name below.
