The Bull Shark Tagging Programme

Researching and protecting top predators

The Bull Shark Tagging Programme aims to better understand the behaviour and ecology of bull sharks. Its main field site is in Fiji where free-ranging sharks are studied in their natural environments using the full spectrum of telemetry techniques, ranging from
direct observations in the Shark Reef Marine Reserve to acoustic and satellite telemetry, as well as genetics and local ecological knowledge. The project is structured into several subprojects:
