Dr. Boswell plans to invite a new graduate student for entry into the doctoral program in Fall 2016.
Recent Grants and Funding Awards:
In collaboration with Dr. Mike Constantino (PI) at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, Dr. Boswell (PI) and the University at Albany have been approved for a funding award by the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI; pending completion of a business and programmatic review by PCORI staff and issuance of a formal award contract) to study if patient outcomes are enhanced by scientifically matching patients to providers with proven strengths in their presenting problem area(s).
Dr. Boswell (PI) and Dr. Constantino (PI) of the University of Massachusetts Amherst have been awarded an "Optimizing Value Grant" by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation to study mental health care consumers' values and preferences regarding the use of provider performance information in making health care decisions.
Dr. Boswell has been awarded the American Psychological Association (APA) Division of Psychotherapy (29) 2014 Norine Johnson Psychotherapy Research Grant.
Dr. Boswell was invited to serve as an expert panelist on the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation (ASPE) and the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) sponsored report on strategies for measuring the quality of psychotherapy.
