I started my doctoral studies at the Faculty of Science, Katholieke Universiteit Leuven under the guidance of Prof. Wilfried Vandervorst in 2005 and am currently in the final year of my doctoral studies. I am also affiliated with the Materials and components analysis group at IMEC vzw.
I received my bachelors degree in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering in 2001 from University of Mumbai. During the final year I worked on my bachelors thesis project 'Image Compression using Wavelet Transforms' at Advanced Center for Research in Electronics (ACRE), IIT Bombay under the guidance of Dr. Shabbir N. Merchant. Following graduation I worked for a year in the area of telecommunication and networking where the primary responsibilities included designing and setting up of long-distance (>10 miles) WiFi networks, video transmission over WiFi networks. After a year's stint in the telecommunications & networking industry I moved to Syracuse University, where I obtained my M.S. in Electrical Engineering in 2005. During my M.S. I was involved in modeling of dopant profiles in SOI transistors.
