Now that the Magical ruby is done and "caged", we needed a magical chest with a magical key. The chest is almost done. Unfortunately my available time these days is only about 10% of that 2 months ago.

Previous projects were both about plants, and fun food afterwards. So it's only normal that this time around is about both, in the same project ; )
This one is called Gingerbread Men. Hopefully just in time for Xmas!
Presently it's only a Work in Progress (WIP), but I have a few elements I could reveal before the whole thing is done.
There's a surprise element though. You'll just have to wait to see it.

As of today you can now see, rotate, and zoom the Donuts & Coffee scene thanks to Sketchfab, just like the Roses bush, and the Strawberry Bush below.

A remake. Roses are no longer pink, they're red and white. And the bush is sitting on a more interesting base. This is a Sketchfab friendly model.

Donuts, donuts, donuts! Who doesn't like donuts?!!
This was a fun image to make for obvious reasons. Aside of the theme, I loved using the new Blender addon from Blender Guru: Pro Lighting: Skies. Thanks to it you can light up the scene without any actual lights, thanks to the use of HDR.

Isometric drawings are widely used in video games, as they are in courses manuals. Namely due to their ability to convey a message in a clean and clear manner.
From 3D to 2D - This isometric drawing was made from actual 3D. Initially modeled in Blender 2.70, and exported to SVG. Then further edited it in Inkscape.

Geo Lighthouse - No more candies here. Still colorful though. I hope you can feel the ocean breeze and hear the waves crashing at the bottom of the cliff.

Present scene I'm working on is a gingerbread house, typically covered with so many different colored candies, and fun-food. I thought this particular theme would look better with as much detail and clean curves as possible. Reason why I'll be making both a Geometric and a non-geometric scene for it. The former will be done merely to plan ahead aspects like composition, colors, mood, camera angles, etc. Too bad my turnaround time won't be as quick as previous Geometric scenes. But it'll be worth the wait!

A new year now, 2011!
The first 3D piece of the year is ... a Chuck! It's a "work in progress" still. This Chuck will get to be used for a web site called "Custom Chuck Me" actually. It'll have to deform in various ways to mimic the letters necessary to write that same web site name. So a rig is already in place. Most of the texture is done. I still need to create a normal map though. Well, for this purpose I don't really need a normal map, but it'll be nice as this is an element clients often look for.
