Comment by Chris Adamson in 2008:
Our other favorites were "Yellow House" @ 409 Elk (a little pricey, but sleeps 6 as long as you can get four people to share two twin rooms), and "Columbine Cottage" @ 316 Whiterock. Having lined up ours, the advice I'd give to whoever wants to form the next group would be just that someone's going to have to stick their neck out and organize and make some take-it-or-leave-it decisions (otherwise you risk endlessly dithering and never getting anything rented), contacting owners or renters by phone instead of e-mail (409 Elk never replied to my e-mail), and being ready to put down the whole rental right now as a check or credit card payment (414 1st's rental agency said they take half down as a deposit, the other half 1.5 months before the rental, which of course is now). The rental agency I dealt with seemed pretty laid back, so they might be able to accommodate however you want to split up payments, but being able to just put the whole rental on my business card probably made life a lot easier.
