Giant Milkweed Tree (Calotropis gigantea) Crown Flower.  This species of milkweed grows to 4 Meters tall and produces white or lavender flowers that have a small crown.  Crown flowers are also used to make leis especially in Hawaii. This milkweed is also a favorite of the monarch butterfly who sips the nectar and uses it as host plant for its caterpillars.  Each tree when fully grown can support hundreds of monarch larvae.
