Bring Secrets of the Heart and One World Drum Circle Back to Anza!

Through a partnership with Dream a World Education and the Herb Alpert Foundation we have been able to provide our Kindergartners with a tremendous opportunity to launch their school year.  The Secrets of the Heart Program teaches our children all about the values of Love, Friendship, Gratitude and more through storytelling, art, dance, drama, and drums while exploring different cultures and geography.

This past year we were also able to provide the One World Drum Circles to all of our 1st graders.  This program allowed our children to continue their journey around the world and their exposure to cultural understanding.

Now we need your help to keep these programs at Anza.  We encourage you to please visit the sites and if possible please consider a donation.  Any amount is welcome.

Greetings from Mr. Paredes

Welcome to the 2016 - 2017 school year. My name is Alberto Paredes and I am extremely excited to be the principal of Juan de Anza School.

I am very eager to meet and get to know the students, parents and families that make up this wonderful community. I am honored to be part of a school that is united around its children. I am especially thrilled to be part of a distinguished group of teachers and staff committed to providing the best possible education for every child in a safe, learning, respectful, and nurturing environment. I am truly fortunate to be part of such a remarkable team.

I strongly believe that it is important for parents, school staff, and students to work together to maintain a positive educational atmosphere in which each student feels safe and secure. I strongly, believe that if we work together, the students at Anza will continue to excel both socially and academically.

For the next few months, I will be doing tons of looking, listening, and learning about Anza. My door is always open and I appreciate your input! I look forward to working with everyone. Together we can continue to lead our students towards a successful future.

In Partnership,

Alberto Paredes
