Dynamic mathematical models of theory of mind

When artificial cognitive agents, e.g., socially assistive robots, interact with humans they should adapt and personalize their decisions with respect to the specific needs of the human they are interacting with. These agents capture data from a human via their sensors and use this data to develop a personalized mathematical model of the human's cognition.

In particular, in this project, we focus on various approaches including fuzzy logic and Theory of Mind to develop mathematical formulations that can predict and assess the emotions, desires, and behaviors of a human with whom the agent should interact.
