Welcome to the James W. Curry Public Library and Park!

        James W. Curry was a dedicated educator who grew up in the Brooks Hill Community, “valued education and understood the importance of furthering education to assure economic prosperity, as well as returning to your community to serve after obtaining additional training and education.”  In 1980, he proved himself a man of his word with the opening of the James W. Curry Public Library and Park to serve the Brooks Hill Community in southern Upshur County, West Virginia.
