Visit of Retired Toronto Raptor Jerome "Junkyard Dog" Williams

to Beverley Heights Middle School

There are many elements to achieving success as noted at the Student Success Initiative Panel Discussion held at Beverley Heights Middle School on Thursday, February 7th, 2008 with guest speaker, Jerome "Junkyard Dog" Williams, Johnnie Williams and Mr. Williams Jr.  Along with our many other guests and TDSB staff, we celebrated the achievements at the school. The Toronto Foundation for Student Success (TFSS) whose mission is "to assist our students to benefit physically, emotionally, and intelllectually from each school day" is proud to support the Student Success Mentoring Initiative. The assembly kicked off with the entrance of the Student Success Team and then the declaration of the Student Success Creed:

"As I commit to being a Student for life

and Use what I learn

I must make wise Choices

and pick my friends Carefully

I must maximize Everyday in hopes

of Securing a promising tomorrow

I must believe that Success is in me.
