About Me

I am an assistant professor in the philosophy department at the University of Wisconsin at Madison. I received my PhD from the University of California, San Diego in 2011. You can find my CV (updated 2/20/2016) here

Though I have broad interests in the history of modern philosophy, I am particularly interested in Kant’s theoretical philosophy and its relationship to earlier and later developments in the time-period spanning from Descartes to Hegel. (I wrote my dissertation on Kant's mature account of space and its development.) I am also interested in contemporary philosophical efforts to develop and apply Kant’s epistemological and metaphysical insights.
