Oshadha Ranasingha, a Ph.D. student in the Lewis Group won both the "1st place" and "People's Choice Award" at the WV STaR Symposium 2013 Science Video Competition. Congratulations to Osh from all of us here and many thanks to everyone who voted. His video is below, it's highly informative about some of what we do in the Lewis Group. As part of the competition, Osh had to give a presentation of his work using nothing but a white board and a couple of markers, "Working without notes or technology was a great learning experience", says Osh.

The award included a $1000 check, which Osh promises to spend on schoolbooks and bringing us all out for dinner.
