On 27 December the Gaels’ home on the Crumlin Road paraded an array of under 10 talents from Dublin football.
The Gaels organised a host of Gaelic football fixtures in their annual Christmas event.
Under 10 footballers from Whitehall, Crumlin, Castleknock, Coolock, Clondalkin, Templeogue, and Kiltipper Road graced the Iveagh Grounds with their skills in Gaelic football and showed everyone present how much skill and talent would be on show when the 2017 season gets underway.

Participating Clubs included St James Gaels; Whitehall Colmcilles; Templeogue\Synge Street; Parnells, Round Towers (Clondalkin); Thomas Davis, Parnells and St Judes.

The football was played in memory of John Humphrey, a young St James Gaels player, who died tragically in 1998.

Generously sponsored by John’s family the annual blitz is a fitting tribute to the memory of a young boy for whom sport played such a major part in his short life.
Gaels Chairman Ross Mulvaney described the commemorative event, first played in 1999, as “the most special event in the club’s calendar.”
