Dr. Cressey is an Assistant Professor of Education at Framingham State University. He is a licensed special educator and nationally certified school psychologist. Dr. Cressey has worked in K-12 school settings since 1999 in many roles including direct care staff, special education teacher, individual therapist, group therapist, family therapist, school psychologist, summer school administrator, consultant, and researcher. Dr. Cressey teaches courses in special education at the undergraduate and graduate levels, with a focus on universal design for learning, social-emotional learning, positive behavioral interventions and supports, multi-tiered systems of support, and assessment procedures. Dr. Cressey provides consultation to school teams implementing positive behavioral interventions and supports (PBIS) and he is a licensed facilitator for the School-Wide Information System (SWIS) and Check-In, Check-Out (CICO) data tools. Dr. Cressey’s current research examines the implementation of PBIS within multi-tiered systems of support.
