QE revision

Trinity 2017

Scheduling: Classes will be held on Mondays, 16:00--18:00 (with the option of continuing to 18:30) ; Weeks 1--3; in the Large Discussion Room of the Social Science Library (Manor Rd).

There we be three classes, each of 2 hours in length (though I am prepared to stretch these to 2.5 hours if needed), covering the following topics:

    1. Linear regression

    2. Policy analysis

    3. Time series

Format: Each class will be organised around reviewing the solutions a number of past exam questions, which are given below. Those in bold will definitely be covered in class. The others will be covered as time permits, and depending on the preferences of the class. I am also perfectly happy to review (other) relevant questions (from past exams or tutorials), if these are suggested to me at least three days in advance of the class (so I have time to prepare).

I am also willing to answer any questions that you have on this material. Again, it would be particularly helpful if you could email any questions to me in advance of the class -- this will ensure that I am able to answer these in a satisfactory way.

To ensure you get as much as possible out of these classes, you should attempt each of the nominated questions before the class.
