TXST Summer School
in Mathematical Physics

From July 24 to July 28, 2023, The department of mathematics at Texas State University will host the 2023 TXST Summer School in Mathematical Physics. Topics will include quantum information, statistical mechanics, tilings, and more.

Students who are accepted to the summer school will receive travel funding, a per diem for local meal expenses, and a daily stipend for the days they attend.

Schedule:

School events run from 9am-5pm on July 24th -- Friday July 28th.
Talks and events will be in Derrick Hall, room 336.

Students should plan to arrive on Sunday July 23rd and depart on Saturday July 29th.

Getting to San Marcos:
If you are not within driving distance, the closest major airports to San Marcos are AUS (Austin-Bergstrom international airport, 32 miles from San Marcos) and SAT (San Antonio international airport, 45 miles from San Marcos)

Housing:
Students for the summer school will be housed in Smith Hall, on campus at Texas State.

Parking:
Participants can purchase a guest parking pass for the week.
