Seminars

Image Processing:

This was a seminar cum workshop for the students of VJTI. I introduced them to a few applications of vision as fault detection, face recognition, color and shape detection. I also conducted a session in conversion of RGB and YUV to binary images and demonstrated its use in following an object. (October 2008)

Snake Robots:

As a part of the academic curriculum to give a seminar on developments in the Robotics, I gave a seminar on Snake Robots; their simplicity in design and tremendous scope in medicine, search and rescue and terrain exploration. (September 2008)

Design, fabrication and testing of Robots:

Pursuing Robotics during undergraduate studies is an expensive affair and design and fabrication of Robots have to innovative and cost effective, with an aim of sharing a few of my designs wherein I made robots using cheaply available components  I delivered this seminar in VJTI. (Jan 08’)

Introduction to Robotics:

I delivered this seminar to freshman as a part of their orientation seminar. It was to promote robotics and extra curricular technical activities.  I explained the fundamentals of basic sensors, dc geared motors and micro controllers while briefing them about the scope in this field. (2007)

Automation 2008

Automation 2008 was India's No. 1 Automation Exhibition showcased new innovations & solutions for vast industry segments.

  • Latest trends, technology and applications of robotics-Mr.Vikas Swamy,D.G.M., Kuka Robotics India Pvt. Ltd.
  • Current trends in sensor Applications  - Mr. Gerhard Weissler, Consultant for Public Relations Affairs, Germany.
  • Innovative Trends in Automation- Mr. Ashwin Vanikar, Industry Manager,Festo Controls.

Intelligent Robotics and Image Processing

The workshop was conducted by Sachitanad Malewar, founder of Nex Robotics. It included hands on session on Spark IV, an extensible platform with IR sensors, distance sensors, proximity sensors, shaft encoders, ZigBee® and ATMEGA 16. SPARK IV was an ideal platform to learn embedded systems and microcontrollers. The workshop also included basics of Image processing using MATLAB.

TAACT industrial Automation

A Pioneer in multidisciplinary training in Industrial Automation; TAACT is a training institute devoted to Industrial Automation field. The course covers entire spectrum of industrial automation technologies from pneumatics / hydraulics to PLC / SCADA systems. I will be attending this course on behalf of college during January 09’.
