JAMIE EKKENS
Motion Graphics Artist & Independent Film Maker


In September of 2015 , 2008 KCAD alum. Jaime Ekkens came back to Kendall form NYC to give a terrific talk in the student commons. She was also gracious enough to give a video interview where she hit on on some of the main points in her talk. Jaime graduated from Kendall College of Art and Design in 2007 with a B.F.A in Illustration and a double minor in Photography and Digital Media. She then went on to earn an M.F.A. in Computer Art at the School of Visual Arts in New York, NY in 2009. She has completed numerous freelance projects, as well as post-production and motion-graphics work. Jaime has won many awards for her independent film, "A Life with Aspergers", which has been featured in over 60 festivals around the world. She currently a freelance motion graphics designer for advertising and design companies in New York. She is also working on her next independent short film!
