About Islam

Islam is the hot news in todays world... All days you hear about Muslims, Islam from news papers, news and

other medias. Unfortunatly lots of the people had a wrong understanding of Islam. This page is created to give a proper message about Islam.

What is Islam

Islam means submission, referring to the total surrender of one's self to God ( Allah اﷲ ), and a Muslim is one who submits to God. Muslims believe that God revealed the Qur'an to Muhammad (Peace and blessing be upon him - PBUH )  that Muhammad(PBUH) is God's final prophet.

Muslims do not regard Muhammad (PBUH) as the founder of a new religion but as the restorer of the original monotheistic faith of Adam (PBUH),Abraham (PBUH)and other prophets whose messages had become corrupted over time, like Judaism, Christianity.

Muslims hold that the message of Islam - submission to the will of the one God -is the same as the message preached by all the messengers sent by God to humanity since Adam (PBUH). Islam is the oldest of the monotheistic religions because it represents both the original and the final revelation of God to Abraham (PBUH), Moses (PBUH) Jesus(PBUH), and Muhammad (PBUH).

Allah ( اﷲ )

In Arabic, God is called Allah. Allah is the One and Only God (without any partner) the supreme Creator, The Creator of the whole universe (from the minute atom to the galaxies), the God of Abraham (PBUH), Isaac (PBUH), and Jacob (PBUH), as well as of Jesus (PBUH)and Muhammad (PBUH).

Allah is described in the Qu'ran as: "...God, the One and Only; God, the Eternal, Absolute; He begetteth not, nor  is He begotten; And there is none like unto Him." Muslims believe that God is incorporeal (immaterial),  making any two- or three- dimensional depictions impossible. Instead, Muslims describe God by the names and  attributes that he revealed to his creation.

Qur'an, is the literal word of God that was revealed to Muhammad (PBUH)over a period of severals years until his death, and it is the God's final revelation to humanity. Muslims regard the Qur'an as a continuation of other divine messages that started with those revealed to Adam — the first prophet — and including the Scrolls of Abraham/Ibrahim, the Tawrat (Torah), the Zabur (Psalms), and the Injil (Gospel or the New Testament).

Muslims are directed to follow the Qur'an — the last and final, completely untainted  (with God promising to protect it: "Verily We: It is We Who have sent down the [the Qur'an] and surely, We will guard it [from corruption]") message from God.

Muhammed (Peace and blessing on him)

Muhammad (PBUH) is  not the founder of a new religion, but as the last in a line of prophets,
restoring the original monotheistic faith of Adam, Abraham and others which had become corrupted or been misinterpreted.
The message of Islam resembles the messages of all previous prophets of God.  The Qur'an states: "Abraham was not a Jew nor a Christian, but he was (an) upright (man), a Muslim (submission to God's will), and he was not one of the polytheists" (3:67).
God instructed the prophets to warn his community against evil and urge his people to obey God.
The Qur'an says that God has sent a prophet to every group of people throughout time, and
that Muhammad (PBUH) is the last of the Prophets.

Lets have a look on the words of famous people around the world

"I wanted to know the best of the life of one who holds today an undisputed sway over the hearts of millions of mankind.... I became more than ever convinced that it was not the sword that won a place for Islam in those days in the scheme of life. It was the rigid simplicity, the utter self-effacement of the Prophet the scrupulous regard for pledges, his intense devotion to his friends and followers, his intrepidity, his fearlessness, his absolute trust in God and in his own mission. These and not the sword carried everything before them and surmounted every obstacle. When I closed the second volume (of the Prophet's biography), I was sorry there was not more for me to read of that great life."
........Mahatma Gandhi, statement published in 'Young India,'1924.

"It is impossible for anyone who studies the life and character of the great Prophet of Arabia, who knows how he taught andhow he lived, to feel anything but reverence for that mighty Prophet, one of the great messengers of the Supreme. And although in what I put to you I shall say many things which may be familiar to many, yet I myself feel whenever I re-read them, a new way of admiration, a new sense of reverence for that mighty Arabian teacher.         "My choice of Muhammad to lead the list of the world's most influential persons may surprise some readers and may be questioned by others, but he was the only man in history who was supremely successful on both the religious and secular level."

Islam Denounces Terrorism

Terrorism is a crime against humanity. It is a brutal attack on innocent people. Islam is a religion that means "peace". In the Koran, the Holy Book of Islam, God commands believers to bring peace and security to the world. Terrorism and all other mischief on Earth are the very acts that Muslims are commanded by God to stand against. The Islamic morality is the cure for terrorism, not the source of it. Those who resort to or support terrorism in the name of Islam are in a great error. They are committing a crime which God has cursed in the Koran. All true Muslims denounce terrorism of any kind, and share the sorrows of its victims.. (Click here to read more.. )
