Well it has been exactly one year!

On Thursday March 12th, 2020 we held our last league meet up followed by a League Challenge.

I remember several of us talking that night about how this strange disease was getting out of control. The World Health Organization had just declared COVID19 a global pandemic. The news was talking about restrictions being put in place all over the US and a possible shut down here in Michigan. Then on the morning of the 13th Michigan announced that all schools would close for a 3 week pause. I remember thinking that if it wasn’t safe for kids to be in school then it wasn’t safe for us to be playing Pokémon in person either. By late afternoon on the 13th Play Pokémon canceled several Regionals, and I posted a message on here that we would not meet to play in person until this was behind us.

I NEVER could have imagined that one year later we would still be stuck in this mess.

Personally, I think I see a light at the end of the tunnel. But I still can’t tell how far away it is.

I pray that we will all be back playing Pokémon together again soon.

But until then be safe and know that I miss you all!
