Materials- Picture of Impressionist masterpiece, oil pastels, 1” view finder
Map out the areas of color change; note the direction of the light source and the depth of the picture. Use oil pastels to build up layers of unmixed colors, note the ‘brush stroke’ of the artist (short, long, wavy, etc,) work in small sections (look though view finder) achieving the same colors and style as the original.

Go outside and take picture of nature, the ground, the sky and everything in between. Once loaded on your computer, crop images to close up view of your given object. Play with the contrast to make your darks darker and you lights lighter.
