My name is Jesse Burgher and I am a Environmental Studies student at Ithaca College. I will be graduating in August of 2012 with a B.A. in environmental studies, a concentration in wildlife biology, and a minor in mathematics. I have a deep interest in the environment, ecology, and the connections between humans and nature. I am an avid ornithologist and organic farmer. I love to read, learn, and put that learning to the test in real-life situations; challenging my mind and body while working towards a concrete goal. As I graduate I am moving to Maine to work on a vegetable farm with the Maine Organic Gardeners and Farmers Association. After this seasonal job I hope to enter field research. My long-term goals include international travel, avian research, falconry, and eventually the pursuit of a terminal degree in the field of avian biology.
