Calculating Percentages . . . in Your Head!

This lesson shows students a great way to calculate percentages in their head.  What a great skill to have when shopping!

How to do it:  Start by calculating 10%. For example, in order to find 30% of 120 you can first find 10% of 120, which is 12.  One you know what 10% is you can multiply that by 3 to find 30%, which is 12 X 3 or 36.
