Welcome to InterVarsity Christian Fellowship!

We are a group of college students from both universities who meet weekly to hang out, develop close friendships, and learn more about God. We meet in various smaller study groups throughout the week to spend time studying the Bible and discussing what it means. We also organize fun events like hiking, apple picking, an International Student Thanksgiving and Easter Dinners, and a barn dance. Our group is open to anyone who is interested in learning more about Jesus and making new friends! So please check out the rest of the website to find times and locations for meetings and events.

Upcoming in IV

IVTV - Great News with Great Views: S1, E10

Ever wonder what God's will is for your life?  In this final episode in season 1 of IVTV Jess reminds us of, and reads from, a passage of Scripture related to knowing the will of God.   You won't regret taking 3 minutes to watch this video.

Congratulations to...

Jessica Munn for being elected to serve as Chapter President for another semester, Melanie Cockrell for being elected to serve as Small Group Coordinator for another semester, and Ben Brophey and Victoria Hocking for being elected to serve as Co-Large Group Coordinators for next semester.  Please remember to keep them in your prayers!

IV’s Annual CHRISTMAS Celebration - TOMORROW NIGHT!!!

Christians have a special reason to celebrate Christmas, and everyone is invited to the party!  Please join us this Friday night for our annual Christmas celebration, and the last opportunity to see each other until next year!

The Celebration begins at 7p this Friday, in Clarkson’s MPR on the second floor of the Student Center.  Rides from Potsdam will leave at 6:45.

More details about the Christmas Celebration will be sent in a separate email coming soon to an inbox near you!

Basileia (rhymes with ...any suggestions?)

Basileia is Greek for “kingdom” — the kingdom of God!  We’ve named our summer training “Basileia” because we want to deepen our knowledge of Jesus Christ as King and to improve our capacity to be his ambassadors. Basileia is a week-long, multi-track conference designed so that everyone from our campuses can attend and benefit. Some tracks emphasize leadership training, others Christian discipleship, and others faith exploration. For all, Basileia is a time to focus on God, spend time in the Bible, deepen your faith, and expand your vision for your life.

Here is last year’s Basileia promo video.  Please set aside May 19-25 and plan to join us as our chapter experiences together Basileia ‘17!

A Prophetic Word

An IV alumnus recently shared this encouraging word for our chapter…

“An awakening is taking place. Don't be discouraged by what you see, because it's what you don't see that is causing the hordes of Hell to tremble and be in tumult. In the unseen depths of the hearts of men I have sent My cry, and though it has been ignored and resisted, it has persisted in troubling hearts and awakening the desire for freedom and the longing for peace. The reapers shall overtake the sowers, and you shall see it with your own eyes. Stand in faith, believing, for I am the God of recompense, and even as I visit My judgment on wickedness, exposing and disarming it, know that I am pouring great grace upon those who love My word and share My heart for those in darkness.”

Please share your reaction to this by responding to this email.  We’d love to hear from you.

We’ll Stay in Touch

Even though the semester is ending soon, we’ll stay in touch over break.  Your leaders will be hard at work praying and preparing for another semester of great growth and outreach.  Thanks for being part of God’s story at SUNY Potsdam and Clarkson University.

May the good news bring your great joy this Christmas season.
