Description: The Residence Halls Association and RPS are now accepting applications for membership on the 20010-11 RHA Judicial Board. The RHA Judicial Board is NOT the same as an individual center judicial board. The RHA Judicial Board has primary jurisdiction for “unit” cases in the residence halls, personal misconduct cases as assigned, and for matters pertaining directly to RHA (including elections). The RHA Judicial Board meets at 3:30 p.m. on most Fridays during the academic year, so candidates should be available at that time. Also, all applicants must be available to attend a centralized judicial board training workshop during the afternoon of Sunday, September 26, 2010.
We anticipate 6-7 openings for next year’s board. Applicants must be in good academic/disciplinary standing and must be living in the residence halls for the 2010-11 academic year. J-Board members may not hold any other RHA position, including governor, vice governor or floor president. Applications are available online at the website listed below. Applications must be received by the end of the day on Monday, April 19, 2010 in order to receive full consideration. Those who are chosen for interviews will be interviewed prior to the end of this semester. If you have any questions please contact Bill Shipton at firstname.lastname@example.org or 855-1764.
