After completing his PhD degree from Department of Physics, Indian Institute of Technology Delhi in 2013, he entered the R.A. program in the Materials Science group in IUAC in 2013. Presently, he is working as INSPIRE FACULTY at IUAC, New Delhi.
His research interests include wide band gap semiconductors (GaN, ZnO, 2D materials) based devices, surface and interface passivation, ion irradiation and ripples formation.
For his INSPIRE project, he is working on thermoelectric materials. He has extensively used the clean room setup and state-of-art characterization facilities for the purpose of device fabrication. His expertise is in Transport Measurements in micro/nano devices, Low temperature measurements, DLTS, 1/f Noise, AFM/STM.
 

 Dr. Parmod Kumar

He is a DST Inspire Faculty working in Materials Science Group
He was earlier working as research associate in the same group since Jan 2015 after completing his PhD from Department of Physics, IIT Delhi in Dec 2014.
His research interests include the understanding of defects induced magnetism and bandgap tuning in oxide semiconductors such as ZnO, MgO and rare earth oxides (Er2O3, Y2O3) using low energy ion implantation and swift heavy ion irradiation. Apart from oxide semiconductors, he is also working on role of ion beam in the modification of various physical properties of magnetic (ferrites) materials.
