Call for Presentation: ITG FA 5.2 Workshop on Smart Cities

“A smart city is an urban development vision to integrate information and communication technology (ICT) and Internet of things (IoT) technology in a secure fashion to manage a city's assets” (Wikipedia).

The objective of this workshop is to inform the ITG community about ongoing activities in the field of smart cities, current projects, research results, and open challenges. Of major interest are communication networking and communication technologies used in this context. Smart Cities are an important application for Internet-of-Things technologies. 

We solicit contributions in the form of presentations in the context of smart cities, e.g., addressing:
  • Use cases
  • Requirements
  • Communication protocols and technologies
  • Security and privacy considerations
  • Modelling and performance evaluation
  • Funded projects
  • Surveys and tutorials
The program will consist of regular and invited talks. The presentations will be made available after the event on this website.

Submissions of proposals
Please send the title and a short abstract of the presentation (about 250 words) via email to the workshop organizers until July 1st 2017.
