THIS WORKSHOP: CANCELLED DUE TO PARTICIPANT NUMBERS

Do your students have a  difficult time with computation and fact fluency for multiplication & division? Wondering how to get students to know their basic facts with automaticity? Are you looking to improve their “sense-making” and ability to solve problems relating to multiplication & division?  If you would like to learn more about the models and tools used for multiplication and division, this workshop is for you!   This two-day workshop will address these common questions and concerns  through hands-on learning, collaboration, and a variety of tools!  These two days will be a nice blend of whole group, hands-on, and “choice learning” to make what you do most relevant to your own learning. (NEW Workshop!)

This workshop will have participants....

  • Gain a better understanding of the math progressions--the “big picture” that moves students from conceptual understanding to fact fluency.  What is taught when and.....WHY?

  • Experience and learn specific math strategies, methods, and tools that are efficient and effective.

  • Leave with a plan.  As a result of KNOWING, what is your plan of ACTION?
