Effectively communicating with families and colleagues is something professional educators must do on a daily basis.   Google e-mail and Google calendar make it possible for educators to keep others informed and updated on current events.  This class will also show participants how to utilize Google Docs. Google Docs is a free, web-based service that includes word processor, spreadsheet, presentation, and survey tool applications. By saving documents online, teachers can access documents, such as lesson plans from any computer.

Google Docs also allows users to create and edit documents online while collaborating in real-time with other users. The tools explored in this workshop are free, user-friendly, and valuable to the education profession.  Participants will be required to be active participants, applying new skills to relevant tasks! (a.k.a--Rigor and Relevance!)

Note:  Several Montana school districts are in the process of switching to Google’s email, calendar, and document services in the Fall of 2010.  This class will help you make a smooth transition with this change!
