Instructor Qualifications

1. Each instructor completes:

  • 5-6 Week Intensive Training Including:
  • Certification Program
  • A minimum of 60 hours of supervised in-water training.The training also includes education and testing in subjects such as: 
    • Child Psychology
    • Anatomy & Physiology
    • Behavioral Science
  • CPR & First Aid Certification is always up to date

2. Once an instructor is certified, they must undergo Annual Reviews and Re-Certification to ensure skills and techniques continue to meet the highest ISR standards. 

3. Each ISR instructor is carefully screened through extensive interviews before qualifying to earn certification.
4. ISR student instructors study with a Certified Master Instructor, who develops a unique training program that targets each student instructor's learning and teaching styles.

        • While each student instructor may develop a Unique Teaching Style, every certified instructor must meet the same high standards for Professionalism, Safety, and Knowledge.
        • You can be confident that your child will be carefully monitored and lovingly instructed at each lesson.
5. Mike is also a WSI (Water Safety Instructor).  Which allows him to teach your child, after they have learned the swim-float-swim sequence and are old enough (usually 4-6 years).
6. This year Mike is training to become an ISR Master Instructor which will allow him to mentor and train new ISR Instructors!
