Island City Elementary

  • Island City School is considered a Title I School. We are eligible to operate as a "Schoolwide" Title I program. This eligibility is based on meeting the required poverty threshold of a minimum of 40 percent. During the 2009-2010 school year our staff and families developed and designed a Schoolwide plan. The plan was submitted at the end of the school year and was approved. Being a Title I school allows our school to receive additional funding to provide programs that not only focus on intervention for at-risk students, but that focus on instructional reform throughout the school so that all students demonstrate proficient performance under the states's achievement standards.

On this page you will find information about our Title I program and how our school is meeting the Title I requirements. On the left hand side of the page is where you can go to click on the links that will provide more specific information.

I will be adding more information throughout the year, including information about upcoming events.

We are looking forward to a great year!
