INDEX:

The sacrifice of the son of Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) in Quran chapter 37 (Quran 37:99 – 37:113).

Quran chapter 37.

 (Quran 37:99 – 37:113).

The sacrifice of the son of Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim).

(Comments are in brackets).

Quran 37:98 Verse 37:98 And they (the idol worshippers where Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) lived with his father) made a plan against him (Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim)), but We (God) made them the humiliated (by them being unsuccessful in their efforts to kill Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim)).

Quran 37:99 Verse 37:99 And he (Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim)) said, I am going to (pray to) my Lord (God) who shall guide me.

Prayer to God.

Prayer to God.

IN THE QURAN, WHICH SON DID GOD GIVE TO Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) AFTER HE LEFT HIS FATHER AND PRAYED TO GOD?

(Comment 1. In Quran 37:98 Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) leaves his father and his idol worshipping community and then in Quran 37:99 Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) prays to God.

What son did God then give to Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim)?

(Comment 2. God give Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) the son Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) in Quran 19:46 – 19:49

Quran 19:46 He (Terah, the father of Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim)) said, “Are you rejecting my gods Abraham (Prophet Ibrahim)? If you do not stop (rejecting my gods) then I shall surely stone you (to death) so go away from me for a long time.”

Quran 19:47 He (Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim)) said, “Peace to you (my father Terah). I shall ask forgiveness of my Lord (God) for you (my father Terah). He (my Lord (God)) is always merciful to me.”

Quran 19:48 “I (Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim)) shall go away from you (my father Terah) and the (stone idols) to which you pray, instead (of praying to) God (as you should), and I shall pray to my Lord (God). It may be that, in prayer to my Lord (God), I shall not be unblessed (meaning, I shall not be unhappy with what God gives to me).”

Quran 19:49 So, when he (Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim)) had gone away from them (his father and his idol worshipping community) and that which they were worshipping (the stone idols) instead of (praying to) God (as they should), We (God) gave him Isaac (Ishaq) and Jacob (Yaqub). Each of them We (God) made a prophet.

(Comment 3. In Quran 19:46 – 19:49 God said that when Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) moved away from his father and the idol worshippers and prayed for a son, God gave him Prophet Isaac (Ishaq).

Quran 37:100 Verse 37:100 (Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) said) “My Lord (God), Grant me a righteous (son)."

Prayer to God.

Prayer to God.

The “righteousson in Quran 37:100 is Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) (See comments 1 – 3 below).

THE STORY OF THE SACRIFICE OF THE GOOD NEWS SON (Prophet Isaac (Ishaq)).

Who is the righteous son?

(Comment 1. Who is the righteous son in Quran 37:100?

(Comment 2. In Quran 37:112 God tells us that “the good news” son is Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) of the “righteous.”

(Comment 3. So God tells us that the “righteousson in Quran 37:100 is Prophet Isaac (Ishaq).

The “righteousson in Quran 37:100 is Prophet Isaac (Ishaq).

Quran 37:101 Verse 37:101 So We (God through His angles) gave him (Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim)) the good news of (the birth of Prophet Isaac (Ishaq)) a forbearing (meaning patient, not complaining, long suffering, tolerant, merciful, forgiving) son.

The good news son in Quran 37:101 is Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) (See Part A below).

The forbearing (patient) son in Quran 37:101 is Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) (See Part B below).

Quran 37:101 is repeated in Quran 37:112 to confirm that “the good news son” in the sacrifice is Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) (See Part C below).

PART A: Who is the “good news son?”

(Comment 1a. Who is the good news son in Quran 37:101?

(Comment 2a. In Quran 37:112 God tells us “the good news” son is Prophet Isaac (Ishaq).

(Comment 3a. “Good news” refers to the angels of God who delivered the “good news” to Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) and his wife Sarah telling them “the good news” that they shall have a son called Prophet Isaac (Ishaq).  This is why Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) is called the “good news son.”

(Comment 4a. In the Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) story in the Quran “the good news son” is always Prophet Isaac (Ishaq)

“The good news son” in the story of Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) is found in these 6 chapters of the Quran.

Quran chapter 11 in Quran 11:69 – 11:74 where the good news son is in verse 11:69, 11:71, 11:74.

Quran chapter 15 in Quran 15:51 – 15:60 where the good news son is in verse 15:53, 15:54, 15:55.

Quran chapter 19 in Quran 19:46 – 19:49 where the good news son is in verse 19:49.

Quran chapter 29 in Quran 29:26 – 29:34 where the good news son is in verse 29:27, 29:31.

Quran chapter 37 in Quran 37:98 – 37:113 where the good news son is in verse 37:101, 37:112, 37:113.

Quran chapter 51 in Quran 51:24 – 51:37 where the good news son is in verse 51:28.

(Comment 5a. The “good news” son in the Quran is used as the name of Prophet Isaac (Ishaq).

Quran chapter 11 uses the good news son 3 times and is named in verse 11:69, 11:71, 11:74 as Prophet Isaac (Ishaq).

Quran chapter 15 uses the good news son 4 times but is not named in verse 15:53, 15:54, 15:55 is Prophet Isaac (Ishaq).

Quran chapter 19 is named in verse 19:49 as Prophet Isaac (Ishaq).

Quran chapter 29 uses the good news son 1 time and is named in verse 29:27, 29:31 as Prophet Isaac (Ishaq).

Quran chapter 51 uses the good news son 1 time but is not named in verse 51:28 is Prophet Isaac (Ishaq).

God shows in Quran chapter 11, 15, 19, 29 and 51 that in the Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) story the good news son is the name given by God to Prophet Isaac (Ishaq).

God names Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) as “the good news” son 9 times in Quran chapter 11, 15, 19, 29 and 51.

In Quran chapter 37 God mentions “the good news” son 2 times.

Since God already used the “good news” son 9 times to mean Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) in Quran chapter 11, 15, 19, 29 and 51 it is clear that in Quran chapter 37 the two uses of “the good news” son both refer to Prophet Isaac (Ishaq).

(Comment 6a. Quran chapters 11, 15, 19, 29 and 51 introduce Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) as “the good news son” and then Quran chapter 37 continues the story of “the good news son.”

(Comment 7a. No where in the Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) story in the Quran does God use the word “the good news son” to be the name of anyone except Prophet Isaac (Ishaq).

The good news son in Quran 37:101 is Prophet Isaac (Ishaq).

PART B: Who is the forbearing (meaning patient) son?

(Comment 1b. Who is the forbearing (patient) son in Quran 37:101?

(Comment 2b. In Quran 37:101 God tells us “the good news” son is the forbearing (meaning patient) son.

(Comment 3b. In Quran 37:112 God tells us that “the good news” son is Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) and in Quran 37:101 God tells us that “the good news” son (Prophet Isaac (Ishaq)) is forbearing (meaning patient).

(Comment 4b. God tells us that “the good news” son (Prophet Isaac (Ishaq)) is forbearing (meaning patient) in Quran 37:101.

The forbearing (patient) son in Quran 37:101 is Prophet Isaac (Ishaq).

PART C: The unnamed “good news son” who is to be sacrificed in Quran 37:101 is named in Quran 37:112.

(Comment 1a. Compare Quran 37:101 with Quran 37:112.

Quran 37:101 So We (God through His angles) gave him (Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim)) the good news of (the birth of Prophet Isaac (Ishaq)) a forbearing (meaning patient, not complaining, long suffering, tolerant, merciful, forgiving) son.

Quran 37:112 And We (God through His angles) gave him (Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim)) the good news of the birth of Prophet Isaac (Ishaq), a prophet of the righteous.

(Comment 2a. Although it appears as if “the good news son” in Quran 37:101 has no name in fact in the Quran “the good news son” in the story of Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) is always Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) as explained in Part A above.

(Comment 3c. For those who do not know that God always calls Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) “the good news son” in the story of Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim), God confirms this in Quran 37:112 by showing that the name of the “good news son” in the story of Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) is always Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) as explained in Part A above.

Quran 37:101 is repeated in Quran 37:112 to confirm that “the good news son” in the sacrifice is Prophet Isaac (Ishaq).

Quran 37:102 Verse 37:102 And (when, then, therefore, so), when he (“he” is the “good news son” Prophet Isaac (Ishaq), that God promised in Quran 37:101) was old enough to work with him (Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim), he (Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim)) said, "O my dear son (Prophet Isaac (Ishaq)), I see in a dream that I am slaughtering (sacrificing) you, (my son) what do you think?" He (Prophet Isaac (Ishaq)) said, "O my father, do as you are commanded, God willing you shall find me patience (not complaining).”

The sacrifice.

The sacrifice.

“He” in Quran 37:102 is Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) (See Part A below).

The patience (meaning forbearing) son in Quran 37:102 is Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) (See Part C below).

The “good news son” to be sacrificed in Quran 37:102 is Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) (See Part B and Part D below).

God blesses both the father Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) and the son Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) together. No other person is blessed in the story of the sacrifice (See Quran 37:112 – 37:113 below).

The name of the father and son in the vision (dream) of the sacrifice is confirmed in the next chapter, Quran chapter 38 (See Part F below).

PART A: Who is “he?”

(Comment 1a. Who is “he” in Quran 37:102?

(Comment 2a. The first word of Quran 37:102 is “And (when, then, therefore, so).”

“And (when, then, therefore, so)” is used to connect two sentences together.

“And (when, then, therefore, so)” connects Quran 37:101 and Quran 37:102 together.

In Quran 37:102 “And (when, then, therefore, so), when he was old enough to work……”

“He” refers to the son in Quran 37:101.

Quran 37:101 is “the good news” and forbearing (meaning patient) son Prophet Isaac (Ishaq).

In Quran 37:102 And (when, then, therefore, so), when he was old enough to work with him (Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim),…

God tells us that the “He” in Quran 37:102 is “the good news” and the forbearing (meaning patient) son Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) in Quran 37:101.

He” in Quran 37:102 is Prophet Isaac (Ishaq).

PART B: Who is the “good news son?”

(Comment 1b. The son that was requested by Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) in Quran 37:100 is named by God in Quran 37:101 as “the good news” and God said in Quran 37:102 “and when he (“the good news” son) was old enough to work with him (Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim)” he (“the good news” son) was offered for sacrifice.

(Comment 2b. The “the good news” son in Quran 37:101 and He (“the good news”) son in 37:102 is the son Prophet Isaac (Ishaq).

(Comment 3b. The “the good news” son in Quran 37:101 and He (“the good news”) son in 37:102 is the son Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) because in the Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) story in the Quran the “good news” son is always Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) and “the good news son” is used in this way in these 6 chapters of the Quran.

(Comment 4b. Nowhere in the Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) story in the Quran does God use the word “good news” to mean anyone except Prophet Isaac (Ishaq).

The “good news son” to be sacrificed in Quran 37:102 is Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) (Also see Part D below).

PART C: Who is the patience (meaning forbearing) son?

(Comment 1c. Who is the patience (not complaining) son in Quran 37:102?

(Comment 2c. In Quran 37:101 God tells us “the good news” son is the forbearing (meaning patient) son.

(Comment 3c. In Quran 37:112 God tells us that “the good news” son is Prophet Isaac (Ishaq).

(Comment 4c. God tells us that “the patience” son in Quran 37:102 is (Prophet Isaac (Ishaq)) the forbearing (meaning patient) son in Quran 37:101.

(Comment 5c. God has described “the good news son” as forbearing (meaning patient) in Quran 37:101 and as righteous in Quran 37:100.

The patience (meaning forbearing) son in Quran 37:102 is Prophet Isaac (Ishaq).

PART D: Is the good news son to be sacrificed?

(Comment 1d. God has told us in Quran 37:112 that the “the good news son” is Prophet Isaac (Ishaq).

(Comment 2d. God has joined “the good news son” promised in Quran 37:101 to the son to be sacrificed by Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) in Quran 37:102 with the word “And” to show it is “the good news son” in Quran 37:101 who is to be sacrificed in Quran 37:102.

(Comment 2d. Quran 37:102 And, when he (“he” is the “good news son” Prophet Isaac (Ishaq), that God promised in Quran 37:101) was old enough to work with him (Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim), he (Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim)) said, "O my dear son (Prophet Isaac (Ishaq)), I see in a dream that I am slaughtering (sacrificing) you, (my son) what do you think?" He (Prophet Isaac (Ishaq)) said, "O my father, do as you are commanded, God willing you shall find me patience (not complaining).”

The “good news son” to be sacrificed in Quran 37:102 is Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) (Also see Part B above).

PART E: Which son does God bless in the story of the sacrifice?

(Comment 1e. Which son does God bless after the sacrifice?

(Comment 2e. In Quran 37:112 God tells us that “the good news” son is Prophet Isaac (Ishaq).

(Comment 3e. In Quran 37:113 God tells us he has blessed Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) and his son Prophet Isaac (Ishaq).

(Comment 4e. God leaves no blessing for anyone in the story of the sacrifice except for Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) and his son Prophet Isaac (Ishaq).

(Comment 5e. In the story of the sacrifice after blessing Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim), God then confirms that the name of the “good news son” is Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) and then blesses both Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) and Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) together (See Quran 37:112 – 37:113). God has left no blessing for any other person in the story of the sacrifice.

(Comment 6e. Did God forget to bless someone? No, God never forgets, How could God forget anything in the Quran which is the final revelation to humankind especially when God did not forget to bless Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) and Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) in God’s Torah (Taurat) and in God’s Gospel (Injil)?

See: God protects His Quran, His Torah (Tawrah, Tawrat, Taurat, Tavrat) and His Gospel (Injil, Injeel, Enjil, Enjeel, Al-Enjeel).

No one can change the word of God because all of God’s books confirm each other.

God blesses both the father Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) and the son Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) together. No other person is blessed in the story of the sacrifice.

PART F: The father and son in the vision (dream) of the sacrifice is confirmed in the next chapter, Quran chapter 38.

Quran 38:45 And mention Our (God’s) servant Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim), Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) and Prophet Jacob ((Yaqub) who were), men with strength (of faith in God) and vision (to understand the will of God).

(Comment 1f. After the story of the sacrifice of the son of Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) in Quran chapter 37 God confirmations in Quran chapter 38 what God has revealed in Quran chapter 37.

(Comment 2f. How was Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim), Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) and Prophet Jacob ((Yaqub) blessed with vision to understand the will of God?

In Quran 37:102 Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) had a vision (dream) of sacrificing his son and Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) understood the meaning of that vision (dream).

Quran 37:102 And, when he (“he” is the “good news son” Prophet Isaac (Ishaq), that God promised in Quran 37:101) was old enough to work with him (Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim), he (Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim)) said, "O my dear son (Prophet Isaac (Ishaq)), I see in a dream (vision) that I am slaughtering (sacrificing) you, (my son) what do you think?" He (Prophet Isaac (Ishaq)) said, "O my father, do as you are commanded, God willing you shall find me patience (not complaining).”

(Comment 3f. How was Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim), Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) and Prophet Jacob ((Yaqub) blessed with vision to understand the will of God?

In Quran 12:4 – 12:7 God gives the story of another son, Prophet Joseph (Yusuf, Yusuuf, Yosef) and his father Prophet Jacob (Yaqub, Israel) who both interpreted a dream where the son might be killed and God says that He (God) gave them that power to interpret and understand the meaning of dreams as a favour from God in the same way that God gave that same power to Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) and Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) in an earlier time).

Quran 12:6 “And so your Lord (God) shall choose you (Prophet Joseph (Yusuf)) and shall teach you the interpretation of stories (dreams, visions) and shall perfect His (God’s) favour upon you and upon the family of Jacob (Yaqub, Israel) as He (God) perfected it upon your fathers before you, Abraham (Ibrahim) and Isaac (Ishaq). Your Lord knows all things and is wise.”

(Comment 4f. Quran 38:45 And mention Our (God’s) servant Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim), Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) and Prophet Jacob ((Israel, Isra'īl, Isra'il, Israil, Jaacob, Yaacob, Yaacoob, Yaacoub, Yaacub, Yacob, Yacoob, Yacoub, Yacub, Yaakob, Yaakoob, Yaakoub, Yaakub, Yaaqob, Yaaqoob, Yaaqoub, Yaaqub, Yaa’qub, Yaakov, Yakob, Yakoob, Yakoub, Yakub, Yaqob, Yaqoob, Yaqoub, Yaqub, Ya’qub, Yakov, Yisra’el, Yisroel) who were), men with strength (of faith in God) and vision (to understand the will of God).

Quran 38:48 And mention Prophet Ishmael (Ismail) and Prophet Elisha (Alyasa, Al-Yasa’a, Al-Yasa, Alyasa, Al-Yasa’, Al-Yasha, Eliseus, Elyas, Elyasa’) and Prophet Ezekiel (Dhu el kifl, Dhul-Kifl, Dhul Kifl, Dhu'l-Kifl, Ezekil, Ezeqeel, Ezeqiel, Hizkil, Hizqil, Hizkael, Hizkeel, Hizqeel, Yehezkel, Zal-Kifl, Zu-Al-Kifal, Zul-kifl, Zul Kifl, Zulkifl, Zulkifli). All are among the chosen (messengers of God).

God is connecting those with the power of vision (dreams) together in Quran 38:45.

God has not included Prophet Ishmael (Ismail) with the blessing of vision in Quran 38:45 but instead God purposefully mentions Prophet Ishmael (Ismail) separately without his father in the next verse Quran 38:48.

Why? Because God is showing us that the father and the son who was to be sacrificed in the vision (dream) was Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) and Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) in Quran 38:45.

During the time of the sacrifice Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) was “the only son” living with Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) because God had already taken Prophet Ishmael (Ismail) away from Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) into God’s care in the desert.

In Quran 38:48 God mentions Prophet Ishmael (Ismail) without his father because God had taken Prophet Ishmael (Ismail) and his mother Hagar (Haajirah, Hajar, Hajira, Hajirah, Hajra) away to God’s care in the desert and God was now asking Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) to give as a sacrifice to God Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) who was “the only son” that Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) still had living with him.

Would Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) sacrifice to God “his only son” Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) who was the only son left with Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim)?

Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) had earlier already given away his first son Prophet Ishmael (Ismail) to God’s care by leaving Prophet Ishmael (Ismail) and his mother Hagar (Hajar) in the desert with little food or water.

God had already taken the first son and now God wanted “the only son” Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) who was still living with Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) to be sacrificed. That was the test from God.

The name of the father and son in the vision (dream) of the sacrifice is confirmed in the next chapter, Quran chapter 38.

Quran 37:103 Verse 37:103 Then when they had both submitted (to God’s will) and he (Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim)) had laid him (his son Prophet Isaac (Ishaq)) on his forehead (for sacrifice),

The sacrifice.

The sacrifice.

Quran 37:104 Verse 37:104 We (God through God’s angles) called out to him, “O Abraham (Ibrahim)”,

The sacrifice of the son ended.

The sacrifice of the son ended.

Quran 37:105 Verse 37:105 “You have already fulfilled the (orders you received in your) dream.” This is how We (God) reward the good doers (with mercy by cancelling the order to sacrifice the son Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) and returning the son to his father Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim)).

The sacrifice of the son ended.

The sacrifice of the son ended.

Quran 37:101 is repeated in Quran 37:112 to show that “the good news son” Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) was saved from the death of the sacrifice and Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) was given to his father by God for a second time as if Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) had been “born again” a second time (See Part A below).

PART A: Is it Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) who God returns to Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim)?

Although it appears as if “the good news son” in Quran 37:101 has no name in fact in the Quran “the good news son” in the story of Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) is always Prophet Isaac (Ishaq).

(Comment 3a. For those who do not know that God always calls Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) “the good news son” in the story of Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim), God confirms this in Quran 37:112 by showing that the name of the “good news son” in the story of Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) is always Prophet Isaac (Ishaq).

(Comment 4a. Before the sacrifice God gave Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) a son Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) in Quran 37:101 and in Quran 37:102 when he (Prophet Isaac (Ishaq)) was old enough to work with Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) he was to be sacrificed.

(Comment 5a. In Quran 37:105 God cancelled the order to sacrifice the son Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) and returned the son to his father Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim).

Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) is “born again” a second time because God has saved him from death.

For a second time God gives the son Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) to Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim).

And so Quran 37:101 is repeated again in Quran 37:112.

Quran 37:101 is repeated in Quran 37:112 to show that “the good news son” Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) was saved from the death of the sacrifice and Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) was given to his father by God for a second time as if Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) had been “born again” a second time.

Quran 37:106 Verse 37:106 This was clearly a test (of Abraham’s (Ibrahim’s) faith and love of God).

The sacrifice of the son ended.

The sacrifice of the son ended.

THE FIRST TEST FROM GOD. The first test from God was the order to Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) to leave Prophet Ishmael (Ismail) and his mother Hagar (Hajar) in the desert with little food or water (See Part E below).

THE SECOND TEST FROM GOD. The second test from God was the order to Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) to sacrifice “His only son” (Prophet Isaac (Ishaq)) who was still living in the house of Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) with his mother Sarah after God had long ago taken away Prophet Ishmael (Ismail) and his mother Hagar (Hajar) to the desert (See Part E below).

PART A: GOD ALWAYS KEEPS HIS PROMISE.

(Comment 1a. In the past some said that Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) was promised by God to produce future generations and therefore Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) could not have been the son to be sacrificed because God never breaks his promise.

However that interpretation is not correct because God himself stopped the sacrifice as proof that He (God) always keeps his promise.

If Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) had been sacrificed then the promise of future generations from Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) would have been broken but as the story showed, God never breaks his promise and God saved Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) from the sacrifice.

God explained the purpose of that sacrifice in Quran 37:106 This was clearly a test (of Prophet Abraham’s (Ibrahim’s) faith and love of God).

Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) put his trust in God.

Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) did not complain to God by saying, “but you made me a promise” or “first you took Ishmael (Ismail) away from me to Your (God’s) care in the desert and now You (God) also want to take “THE ONLY SON” that I have who is still living with me”.

PART B: God asked Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) to sacrifice HIS ONLY SON meaning THE ONLY SON still living in the house of Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim).

(Comment 1b. God asked Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) to sacrifice Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) who was THE ONLY SON that was still living with him in his house.

Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) did not complain to God by saying, “but you made me a promise to give me future generations from my off spring” or “first you took Ishmael (Ismail) away from me to Your (God’s) care in the desert and now You (God) also want to take “THE ONLY SON” that I have who is still living with me” in other words Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) did not say “You (God) now want to take MY ONLY SON.”

PART C: God tests who believes in God and who believes in Satan (Shaitan, Shayatin,  Shaytan,  Shaaytan, Devil).

(Comment 1c. When some early Muslims, after the death of Prophet Muhammad, heard that the Torah (Taurat) stated that THE ONLY SON of Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) was to be sacrificed then instead of reading God’s Torah (Taurat) to understand the meaning of  THE ONLY SON, Satan (Shaitan) whispered, “Do not believe what God tells you in God’s Torah (Taurat) because God is weak and God can not protect His (God’s) Torah (Taurat) because the Jews are stronger than God since the Jews have the power to change the word of God’s Torah (Taurat) and God could not protect His (God’s) Torah (Taurat).

Did some of the early Muslims believe Satan (Shaitan)?

Was Satan (Shaitan) successful in confusing some of the early Muslims?

This is the confusion that is done by Satan (Shaitan) especially when a Prophet leaves the earth.

(Comment 2c. How many Muslims rejected Satan (Shaitan) and trusted God by holding tightly to God’s Quran by remembering Quran 30:30?

Quran 30:30 So direct your self (Prophet Muhammad) towards the religion (the belief in one creator) for which He ((God) who is the one and only creator) has created humans. No one can alter what God has created (such as the word of God in God’s Quran, God’s Torah (Taurat) and God’s Gospel (Injil)). That is the right religion, but most people do not know (this).

See: God protects His Quran, His Torah (Tawrah, Tawrat, Taurat, Tavrat) and His Gospel (Injil, Injeel, Enjil, Enjeel, Al-Enjeel).

No one can change the word of God because all of God’s books confirm each other.

God protects His word.

No one has the power to change the word of God.

If humans could change the word of God in the Torah (Taurat) or the Gospel (Injil) or the Quran then no revelation could be trusted.

04B Arabic http://sites.google.com/site/islamandthequran/allaah-protects-his-taurat-injil-and-quran

(Comment 3c. Some early Muslims misunderstood the meaning of the words “YOUR ONLY SON” in the Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) story in the Torah (Taurat).

How many Muslims rejected Satan (Shaitan) and trusted God’s Torah (Taurat) by holding tightly to God’s Quran by remembering Quran 11.45 – 11:46 where God showed us that there are many ways to use the word “son”?

Quran 11.45 And Prophet Noah (Noaah, Noe, Noeh, Noh, Nooh, Nowa, Nowah, Noyach, Nuh, Nuha, Nuuh) called to his Lord (God) and said, “My Lord (God) surely my boy (son) is of my family and Your (God’s) promise is surely true (that You (God) shall save my family) and You (God) are the most just of all judges.”

Quran 11:46 He (God) said, “Noah (Nuh) surely he (who you refer to as “your boy (son)”) is not of your family and surely he is (the doer of) other than good deeds (meaning, he does bad deeds), therefore do not ask Me ((God), to save him) for that which you have no knowledge (meaning, what God has decreed is mostly unknown to humans so it is not fitting for humans to question God’s decision). I (God) warn you incase you become like the ignorant.” (God confirms that the boy who was drowned was not of the family of Noah (Nuh) which means that when Prophet Noah (Nuh) used the worlds “My son (boy)” it means “like My son (boy)” because he is referring to a boy who is close to his heart but not related by blood to his family.

(Comment 4c. How many Muslims rejected Satan (Shaitan) and trusted God by holding tightly to God’s Quran by remembering that in the story of sacrifice in Quran chapter 37 God only blessed Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) and his son Prophet Isaac (Ishaq)?

How many Muslims did Satan (Shaitan) succeed to confuse to believe it was not Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) even when God in the Quran only names Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) with his father?

Similarly how many Christians rejected Satan (Shaitan) when Prophet Jesus (Isa) left the earth and Satan (Shaitan) whispered Jesus (Isa) is God?

How many Christians did Satan (Shaitan) succeed to confuse even when in the Gospel (Injil) Jesus (Isa) always prayed to God and never told people to pray to him (Prophet Jesus (Isa))?

PART D: Prophet Muhammad Hadith (Haadeeth, Haadiith, Haadith, Haadiths, Hadees, Hadeeth, Hadis, Hadiths).

(Comment 1d. From the story (hadith) of Prophet Muhammad (see link below), we know that Prophet Ishmael (Ismail) had already married two times in Mecca (Makkah) and that Prophet Ishmael (Ismail) was not part of the sacrifice story by that time when Prophet Ishmael (Ismail) had twice married and was working to support his family.

So after the time when Prophet Ishmael (Ismail) had reached the age of being able to work he had not been part of the sacrifice story.

Quran 37:102 And, when he (“he” is the “good news son” Prophet Isaac (Ishaq), that God promised in Quran 37:101) was old enough to work with him (Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim)), he (Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim)) said, "O my dear son (Prophet Isaac (Ishaq)), I see in a dream that I am slaughtering (sacrificing) you, (my son) what do you think?" He (Prophet Isaac (Ishaq)) said, "O my father, do as you are commanded, God willing you shall find me patience (not complaining).”

(Comment 2d. Prophet Ishmael (Ismail) is the story of the building of the Kabah (Kaaba, Ka’aba, Ka’ba, Kaabah, Ka’bah, The Holy house, The cube) in Mecca (Makah, Makkah, Makka, Makkah al-Mukarramah) and Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) is the story of the “good news son” who was to be sacrificed to God.

(Comment 3d. When Prophet Muhammad told the story (hadith) of Prophet Ishmael (Ismail), the story of sacrifice was not part of the Prophet Ishmael (Ismail) story. See the link below.

(Comment 4d. Prophet Muhammad’s story (hadith) tells us that Prophet Ishmael (Ismail) was in the story of the building of the Kabah (Kaaba, Ka’aba, Ka’ba, Kaabah, Ka’bah, The Holy house, The cube) in Mecca (Makkah) and the Prophet Muhammad story (hadith) confirms that the sacrifice is not part of the Prophet Ishmael (Ismail) story. See the link below.

(Comment 5d. In the story of the sacrifice in Quran chapter 37 God blesses no one except Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) and his son Prophet Isaac (Ishaq).

Both God in the Quran and Prophet Muhammad in story (Hadith) verify that the story of sacrifice is the story of Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) and his son Prophet Isaac (Ishaq).

See: Prophet Muhammad hadith (Haadeeth, Haadiith, Haadith, Haadiths, Hadees, Hadeeth, Hadis, Hadiths, story) about Prophet Ishmael (Ismail).

PART E: Why did God order Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) to leave Prophet Ishmael (Ismail) in the desert?

(Comment 1e. God ordered Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) to leave Prophet Ishmael (Ismail) in the desert with his mother Hagar (Hajar) as the first test from God

(Comment 2e. God had taken Prophet Ishmael (Ismail) away from Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) to the desert.

(Comment 3e. Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) lived in Canaan (today Israel and Palestine) with his wife Sarah and their “only son” was Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) because God had long ago taken away Prophet Ishmael (Ismail) and his mother Hagar (Hajar) to the desert.

(Comment 4e. The second test of Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) came when God asked Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) to sacrifice “His only son (Prophet Isaac (Ishaq))”.

God already took away Prophet Ishmael (Ismail) from Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) and God was now testing Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) to show if Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) would sacrifice “the only son” (Prophet Isaac (Ishaq)) who was still living with Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) and Sarah.

Would Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) sacrifice his last remaining son to God?

If Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) agreed to sacrifice “his only son” (Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) that would show that Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) had been willing to give his two sons back to God because God had already earlier taken away Prophet Ishmael (Ismail) from Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim).

(Comment 5e. God calls Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) “His (Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim)) only son” because God is reminding Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) that Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) has already given God, Prophet Ishmael (Ismail) and his mother Hagar (Hajar) when God ordered Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) to leave them alone in the desert with little food and little water.

The first test from God was the order to Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) to leave Prophet Ishmael (Ismail) and his mother Hagar (Hajar) in the desert with little food or water.

The second test from God was the order to Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) to sacrifice “His only son” (Prophet Isaac (Ishaq)) who was still living in the house of Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) with his mother Sarah after God had long ago taken away Prophet Ishmael (Ismail) and his mother Hagar (Hajar) to the desert.

Quran 37:107 Verse 37:107 Then We (God through His angles) exchanged him (Prophet Abraham’s (Ibrahim’s) son (Prophet Isaac (Ishaq)) with a great sacrifice (meaning God gave Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) an animal to be sacrificed instead of ordering Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) to sacrifice his son (Prophet Isaac (Ishaq)).

The sacrifice of the son ended.

The sacrifice of the son ended.

(Comment 1. God exchanged a human with a great sacrifice.

It was a great sacrifice because God Himself provided the animal that was to be sacrificed.

How great is a sacrifice that God Himself has selected and provided compared to what a human selects to sacrifice for God.

Quran 37:108 Verse 37:108 And We (God) left (this blessing) for him (Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim)) among generations to come in later times.

(Comment 3. Quran 36:58 (To the people in Paradise), “Peace” shall be the (greeting) word from a merciful Lord (God)).

(Comment 4. The soul of Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) is alive in Heaven meaning his soul exists in Heaven waiting for the Day of Resurrection and Judgment.

See: Does the soul exist? Is there a soul?

Is the soul real? Does the soul exist after death? Is the human soul real? Is your soul real?

Is the soul true? Is the soul the truth? Does the soul die? Does the human soul exist?

Does the soul really exist? Does the soul truly exist?

Quran 37:112 Verse 37:112 And We (God through His angles) gave him (Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim)) the good news of the birth of Prophet Isaac (Ishaq), a prophet of the righteous.

Is God in Quran 37:112 telling us about what happened during the sacrifice or something that happened after the sacrifice?

After blessing 4 from God in Quran 37:111, God is telling us in Quran 37:112 what happened during the sacrifice (see the same verse structure in Quran 37:81 – 37:82) (See Part A below).

Quran 37:101 is repeated in Quran 37:112 to confirm that “the good news son” in the sacrifice is Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) (See Part BB below).

Quran 37:101 is repeated in Quran 37:112 to show that “the good news son” Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) was saved from the death of the sacrifice and Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) was given to his father by God for a second time as if Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) had been “born again” a second time (See Part BBB below).

PART A: Is Quran 37:112 telling us about what happened before the end of the sacrifice of the son?

(Comment 1a The verse structure of the story of the sacrifice of the son of Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) in Quran chapter 37 (37:108 – 37:112) and the story of the flood of Prophet Noah (Nuh) in Quran chapter 37 (37:78 – 37:82) are both the same.

Below is part of the Prophet Noah (Nuh) verse in Quran chapter 37.

Quran 37:75 Verse 37:75 And Prophet Noah (Nuh) prayed to Us (God) and mercy (from God) was the reply to his (Prophet Noah’s (Nuh’s)) prayer.

Prayer to God.

Quran 37:79 Verse 37:79 Peace is to Noah ((Nuh) God’s messenger who is) among the creations (that are now in Paradise).

Blessing 2 from God after the flood.

Blessing 2 from God after the flood.

(Comment 1. Quran 36:58 (To the people in Paradise), “Peace” shall be the (greeting) word from a merciful Lord (God)).

(Comment 2. Most people after their death shall wait for the Day of Resurrection and Judgement but some such as Prophet Noah (Nuh) are alive now in Paradise.

However always remember that only God the creator has the power to hear prayer.

The people in Paradise are creations and they have no power to hear prayer.

(Comment 3. See Quran 37:79 – 37:80 which reveals that Prophet Noah (Nuh) is alive today in heaven.

(Comment 4. See more about Prophets who are alive in heaven in Quran 36:26 comments.

Quran 37:80, Verse 37:80 (With that greeting) We (God) reward the good person (in Paradise).

Blessing 3 from God after the flood.

Blessing 3 from God after the flood.

Quran 37:81, Verse 37:81 He (Prophet Noah (Nuh)) is one of Our (God’s) believing servants.

Blessing 4 from God after the flood.

Blessing 4 from God after the flood.

Quran 37:82, Verse 37:82 Then We (God) did drown the others (who were wrongdoers and who disbelieved in God).

Is God in Quran 37:82 telling us about what happened during the flood or something that happened after the flood?

After blessing 4 from God (in Quran 37:81), God is telling us in Quran 37:82 what happened during the flood (see the same verse structure in the story of the sacrifice in Quran 37:111 – 37:112).

(Comment 1. The verse structure of the story of the sacrifice of the son of Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) in Quran chapter 37 (37:108 – 37:112) and the story of the flood of Prophet Noah (Nuh) in Quran chapter 37 (37:78 – 37:82) are both the same.

(Comment 2a. In Quran chapter 37 God has used the same verse structure to reveal the story about the flood of Prophet Noah (Nuh) and the sacrifice of the son of Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim).

By comparing both revelations we can see that the Prophet Noah (Nuh) verse after blessing 4 from God which is Quran 37:82 returns to talk about what happened before the flood ended.

In this same way the Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) verse after blessing 4 from God which is Quran 37:112 returns to talk about what happened before the sacrifice of the son ended by giving the name of the good news son who was to be sacrificed.

PART B: Which son does God bless in the story of the sacrifice?

(Comment 1b. In the earlier Quran verse 37:101 “the good news” son  with no name who was to be sacrificed is repeated in Quran verse 37:112 but this time the name of the son that was in the sacrifice is included and named as Prophet Isaac (Ishaq).

(Comment 2b. By not revealing the name of the son except as “the good news son”, God wishes to first bless the father (Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim)) in Quran 37:108 – 37:111.

(Comment 3b. After blessing the father (Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim)) in Quran 37:108 – 37:111, God then reveals to us in Quran 37:112 that the name of the “good news son” is Prophet Isaac (Ishaq).

(Comment 4b. In Quran 37:112 God confirms that in the Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) story in the Quran the “good news” son is the name for Prophet Isaac (Ishaq).

In the Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) story in the Quran the “good news” son is always Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) and “the good news son” is used in this way in these 6 chapters of the Quran.

(Comment 5b. After blessing Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) and then revealing the name of his son Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) in Quran 37:112, God then blesses both Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) and his son Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) together as the father and the son in Quran 37:113.

(Comment 6b. God leaves no blessing for anyone in the story of the sacrifice except for Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) and his son Prophet Isaac (Ishaq).

PART BB: The unnamed “good news son” who is to be sacrificed in Quran 37:101 is named in Quran 37:112.

(Comment 1bb.

(Comment 2bb. Although it appears as if “the good news son” in Quran 37:101 has no name in fact in the Quran “the good news son” in the story of Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) is always Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) as explained in Part B comment 4b.

(Comment 3bb. For those who do not know that God always calls Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) “the good news son” in the story of Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim), God confirms this in Quran 37:112 by showing that the name of the “good news son” in the story of Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) is always Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) as explained in Part B comment 4b.

Quran 37:101 is repeated in Quran 37:112 to confirm that “the good news son” in the sacrifice is Prophet Isaac (Ishaq).

PART BBB: Is it Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) who God returns to Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim)?

(Comment 1bbb.

(Comment 2bbb. Although it appears as if “the good news son” in Quran 37:101 has no name in fact in the Quran “the good news son” in the story of Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) is always Prophet Isaac (Ishaq).

(Comment 3bbb.

(Comment 4bbb.

(Comment 5bbb.

PART C: Is the good news son to be sacrificed?

(Comment 1c. The son requested by Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) in Quran 37:100 is named by God in Quran 37:101 as “the good news” son and God said in Quran 37:102 “and when he (“the good news” son) was old enough to work with him (Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim)),” he (“the good news” son) was offered for sacrifice). The “good news” son is named by God in Quran 37:112 as Prophet Isaac (Ishaq).

PART D: Is Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) the patience (meaning forbearing) son in Quran 37:102?

(Comment 1d. In Quran 37:101 God tells us “the good news” son is the forbearing (meaning patient) son.

PART E: Is Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) the righteous son in Quran 37:100?

(Comment 1e. In Quran 37:112 God tells us that “the good news” son is Isaac (Ishaq), a prophet of the righteous.

PART F: Is Quran 37:100 – 37:113 only about Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) and Prophet Isaac (Ishaq)?

(Comment 1f. In Quran 37:100 (Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) said) “My Lord (God), Grant me a righteous (son)."

(Comment 2f. In Quran 37:101 God gave Abraham (Ibrahim) the “the good news” son. This is the son Isaac (Ishaq) described as “the good news” son in Quran 37:112.

(Comment 3f. In Quran 37:100 – 37:113 God only blesses Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) and Prophet Isaac (Ishaq)? There is no other person in the story of the sacrifice of the son of Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim).

(Comment 4f. Some of the Christians who have been misled by Satan (Shaitan) say that Jesus (Isa) is God but in God’s Gospel (Injil), Jesus (Isa) is a messenger of God who prayed to God and never claimed to be God.

God tests who believes God in God’s Gospel (Injil) and who believes Satan (Shaitan).

(Comment 5f. Some of the Muslims who have been misled by Satan (Shaitan) say that Prophet Ishmael (Ismail) was to be sacrificed to God even though God never mentions Prophet Ishmael (Ismail) one time in Quran chapter 37 instead God mentions Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) four times, two times by his name Isaac (Ishaq) and two times by his name “the good news son”.

God tests who believes God in God’s Quran and God’s Gospel (Injil) and God’s Torah (Taurat) and who believes Satan (Shaitan) in stories (hadith from humans).

(Comment 6f. In Quran 37:101 God gave Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) “the good news” son who would be sacrificed in Quran 37:102 “when he was old enough to work” (when he grew from a baby that can do nothing to a boy who can walk, talk and think) that son is named in 37:112 as “the good news” son Prophet Isaac (Ishaq).

Conclusion.

1. PART A: Is Quran 37:112 telling us about what happened before the end of the sacrifice of the son? Answer: Yes it does by giving the name of the good news son (Prophet Isaac (Ishaq)) who was to be sacrificed.

2. PART B: Which son does God bless in the story of the sacrifice? Answer: After blessing the father, then naming the son Prophet Isaac (Ishaq), God then blesses both the father (Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim)) and his son (Prophet Isaac (Ishaq)) together in Quran 37:113.

3. PART C: Was the good news son (Prophet Isaac (Ishaq)) to be sacrificed? Answer: Yes see Quran 37:101 and Quran 37:102.

4. PART D: Was Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) the patience (meaning forbearing) son who was to be sacrificed? Answer: Yes see Quran 37:101 and Quran 37:102.

5. PART E: Is Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) the righteous son in Quran 37:100?

Answer: Yes see Quran 37:112.

6. PART F: Is Quran 37:100 – 37:113 only about Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) and Prophet Isaac (Ishaq)?

Answer: Yes. God tests the Muslims to find who is misled by Satan’s (Shaitan’s) whispers.

God wants to show who holds tightly to the Quran and remembers that God named the son Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) 4 times (twice by his name Isaac (Ishaq) and twice by his name “the good news son” in the story of the sacrifice.

And God wants to show who holds tightly to the Quran and remembers that God only blessed Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) and Prophet Isaac (Ishaq)) in the story of the sacrifice.

In the same way God tests the Christians to find who is misled by Satan’s (Shaitan’s) whispers by showing who holds tightly to God’s Gospel (Injil) and remembers that Prophet Jesus (Isa) prayed to God and Prophet Jesus (Isa) never said, “pray to me.”

7. PART G: God’s Quran confirms God’s Torah (Taurat) and God’s Gospel (Injil).

God’s Torah (Taurat) and God’s Gospel (Injil) confirms God’s Quran.

(Comment 1g. God’s Quran, God’s Torah (Taurat) and God’s Gospel (Injil) all name Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) as the son in the story of the sacrifice of the son of Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim).

All of God’s Holy Books name Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) as the son of Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) in the story of sacrifice).

(Comment 2g. If God did not have the power to protect His (God’s) Holy Books then no revelation could be believed.

The Quran in Quran 30:30 confirms that no one can alter what God has created including God’s Quran, God’s Torah (Taurat) and God’s Gospel (Injil).

(Comment 3g. God’s Quran, God’s Torah (Taurat) and God’s Gospel (Injil) are the evidence from God that God is the truth.

If God did not have the power to protect His (God’s) Holy Books then no revelation could be believed.

(Comment 4g. God uses Satan (Shaitan) to test the Jews, the Christians and the Muslims and show who believe the word of God more than they believe the word of humans in stories (hadith).

(Comment 5g. Would God say one thing in God’s Quran and something completely different in God’s Torah (Taurat) and God’s Gospel (Injil)?

Quran 30:30 shows that what is in God’s Torah (Taurat) and God’s Gospel (Injil) confirm what is in God’s Quran.

See: God protects His Quran, His Torah (Tawrah, Tawrat, Taurat, Tavrat) and His Gospel (Injil, Injeel, Enjil, Enjeel, Al-Enjeel).

God protects His word.

No one has the power to change the word of God.

If humans could change the word of God in the Torah (Taurat) or the Gospel (Injil) or the Quran then no revelation could be trusted.

8. PART H: Does the Quran confirm that Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) and Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) were together in the story of the sacrifice?

(Comment 1h. In Quran 37:113 God blesses Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) and Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) together. God blesses no other person in the story of the sacrifice.

(Comment 2h. Both Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) and his son understood the meaning of the dream in Quran 37:102.

Quran 37:102 And, when he (“he” is the “good news son” Prophet Isaac (Ishaq), that God promised in Quran 37:101) was old enough to work with him (Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim)), he (Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim)) said, "O my dear son (Prophet Isaac (Ishaq)), I see in a dream that I am slaughtering (sacrificing) you, (my son) what do you think?" (Prophet Isaac (Ishaq)) said, "O my father, do as you are commanded, God willing you shall find me patience (not complaining).”

(Comment 3h. In Quran 12:4 – 12:7 God gives the story of another son, Prophet Joseph (Yusuf, Yusuuf, Yosef) and his father Prophet Jacob (Yaqob, Yaqoob, Yaqoub, Yaqub, Yaakov, Israel) who both interpreted a dream where the son might be killed and God says that He (God) gave them that power to interpret and understand the meaning of dreams as a favour from God in the same way that God gave that same power to Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) and Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) in an earlier time).

Quran 12:6 “And so your Lord (God) shall choose you (Prophet Joseph (Yusuf)) and shall teach you the interpretation of stories (dreams) and shall perfect His (God’s) favour upon you and upon the family of Jacob (Yaqob, Yaqoob, Yaqoub, Yaqub, Yaakov, Israel) as He (God) perfected it upon your fathers before you, Abraham (Ibrahim) and Isaac (Ishaq). Your Lord knows all things and is wise.”

9. PART J: God tests who believes in God and who believes what Satan (Shaitan) whispers.

(Comment 1j. Only God knows all the questions you shall be asked in the Hereafter but is it possible that some Christians might be asked in the Hereafter to show where in God’s Gospel (Injil) did Jesus (Isa) say, “Pray to me Jesus (Isa)” instead of “pray to God who is your creator?”

That might then be proof that they believed in Satan (Shaitan) when Satan (Shaitan) whispered, “Jesus (Isa) is God” instead of believing what God revealed in God’s Gospel (Injil) which is the same as what God confirmed in God’s Quran and God’s Torah (Taurat).

Would God send prophet after prophet in the Torah ((Taurat), Old Bible, Old Testament, Jewish Bible, Hebrew Bible) commanding the Jews (the Hebrews, the children of Israel) to pray to one God only and then send Prophet Jesus (Isa) to the Jews (the Hebrews, the children of Israel) with a new message telling them, “to pray to Prophet Jesus ((Isa) who is a creation” instead of praying to “God who is the creator of every creation?”

(Comment 2j. Only God knows all the questions you shall be asked in the Hereafter but is it possible that some Muslims might be asked in the Hereafter to show where in the Quran did God mention anyone other than the father Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) and his son Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) in the story of the sacrifice of the son in Quran chapter 37.

That might then be proof that they believed in Satan (Shaitan) when Satan (Shaitan) whispered, “Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) sacrificed Prophet Ishmael (Ismail)” instead of believing what God revealed in God’s Quran which is the same as what God revealed in God’s Torah (Taurat) and God’s Gospel (Injil).

Would God reveal different names for the son who was to be sacrificed in God’s three Holy books?

(Comment 3j. Satan (Shaitan) invents a lie to make a difference that does not exist between God’s Quran and God’s other Holy Books by telling the Jews and the Christians, “Do not believe the Muslims because God’s Quran is proof that Muslims follow a false religion.”

Satan (Shaitan) tells the Jews and the Christians that, “the Quran is false because it says Prophet Ishmael (Ismail) was to be sacrificed” and then Satan (Shaitan) tells the Muslims that “the Torah (Taurat) and the Gospel (Injil) is false because it says Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) was to be sacrificed.”

Some people believe what humans say instead of looking at what God has told them in God’s Quran, God’s Torah (Taurat) and God’s (Gospel).

But whoever God wills to see the truth shall see that all God’s Holy books confirm that Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) was the son to be sacrificed and there is no difference in the word of God in God’s Quran and God’s Torah (Taurat) and God’s Gospel (Injil).

The work of Satan (Shaitan) is to cause confusion so that humans are repelled away from the Quran because the Quran is God’s last revelation and guidance to humans and Satan (Shaitan) is the open enemy to all humans in Satan’s (Shaitan’s) war against God.

When Satan (Shaitan) repels a Jew or a Christian away from looking at God’s Quran that shows God which Jew or Christian believes Satan (Shaitan) more than they believe the word of God in God’s Quran.

When Satan (Shaitan) repels a Muslim away from looking at God’s Torah (Taurat) and God’s Gospel (Injil) that shows God which Muslim believes Satan (Shaitan) more than they believe the word of God in God’s Torah (Taurat) and God’s Gospel (Injil).

(Comment 4j. See Quran 37:106 and Quran 37:113 comments.

Quran 37:113 Verse 37:113 We blessed him (Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim)) and Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) but of their offspring (generations of children) are (some) that do right (do good to their own souls) and (some) that do wrong to themselves (do wrong to their own souls).

Who does God bless in the story of the sacrifice?

After blessing the father in Quran 37:108 – 37:111, and then giving the name of the “good news son” in Quran 37:112, God then blesses both the father and the son together in the story of sacrifice in Quran 37:113.

Who does God bless in the story of the sacrifice?

After blessing the father in Quran 37:108 – 37:111, and then giving the name of the “good news son” in Quran 37:112, God then blesses both the father and the son together in the story of sacrifice in Quran 37:113.

PART A:

Which son does God bless in the story of the sacrifice?

(Comment 1a. After blessing the father and then naming “the good news son” as Prophet Isaac (Ishaq), God then blesses them together, both the father Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) and his son Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) together in the story of sacrifice.

(Comment 2a. God blesses the father and the son in the story of the sacrifice in Quran 37:113 after God gives the name in Quran 37:112 of the “good news” son who was to be sacrificed.

(Comment 3a. God has blessed only one son, Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) in the story of the sacrifice because the other son, Prophet Ishmael (Ismail) is not in this story.

(Comment 4a. See Quran 37:112 and Quran 37:106 comments.

PART B:

Which son was to be sacrificed by Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim)?

The proof that God is real is that no one can change the word of God.

The Torah and the Quran name the same son Isaac in the sacrifice of the son of Prophet Abraham because God protects His word.

No one has changed the word of God in the Torah, Gospel and Quran because; “…. No one can alter what God has created (in religion, in the Torah, the Gospel and the Quran). That is the right religion (belief)but most people do not know (this) (Quran 30:30).

God names Prophet Isaac as “the good news” son 9 times in Quran chapter 11, 15, 19, 29 and 51.

God names Prophet Isaac four times in Quran chapter 37 (twice as the good news son and twice by name).

See 3. The sacrifice of the son of Prophet Abraham in Quran chapter 37

The first test from God was the order to Prophet Abraham to leave Prophet Ishmael and his mother Hagar in God’s care in the desert.

The second test from God was the order to Prophet Abraham to sacrifice his second son (Prophet Isaac) who was “his only son” that was still living in the house of Prophet Abraham with his mother Sarah after God had long ago taken away his first son Prophet Ishmael and his mother Hagar.

Would Prophet Abraham sacrifice Prophet Isaac who was his only son after God had early taken away his first son Prophet Ishmael?

God reminds Prophet Abraham that He (God) had already taken one son away from him by ordered him to sacrifice Prophet Isaac who was “his only son” that was still living with him.

The only people who God blesses in the story of the sacrifice in Quran chapter 37 are Prophet Abraham and Prophet Isaac both separately and together as the father and the son.
