Quran 96:1 Ayah 96:1 Recite (meaning Prophet Muhammad repeat these words after Angel Gabriel Jibril has spoken them to you) in the name of your Lord (Allah) who created (all that exists and)

Comment 1. The word Iqra in Quran 96:1 and 96:3 means read or recite. Which word is correct?

Read means read the written word.
Recite means repeat what has been said to you.
Nowhere in the Quran does Allah say Prophet Muhammad cannot read and write.
It appears that the idea that Prophet Muhammad could not read and write came from a misunderstanding of the following hadith story from humans about the first revelation to Prophet Muhammad.

1a. Hadith of the first revelation to Prophet Muhammad.
The story reported by humans of the first revelation to Prophet Muhammad.

Hadith story
 1.
Hadith in Black and blue.
(My comments are in Red).
Hadith of Sahih Bukhari Volume 1 Book 1 Number 3.
Narrated by 'Aisha (the mother of the faithful believers):
The commencement of the Divine Inspiration to Allah’s Apostle was in the form of good dreams which came true like bright day light, and then the love of seclusion was bestowed upon him.
He used to go in seclusion in the cave of Hira where he used to worship (Allah alone) continuously for many days before his desire to see his family.
He used to take with him the journey food for the stay and then come back to (his wife) Khadija to take his food like-wise again till suddenly the Truth descended upon him while he was in the cave of Hira.

The angel came to him and asked him to read
(Comment: Angel Gabriel Jibril did not bring a book to read.
Read means
recite
by repeating the words spoken to you by Angel Gabriel Jibril.
The angel came to him and asked him to recite).

The Prophet replied, '
I do not know how to read'
(
Comment: meaning I do not know how to recite meaning what shall I recite?
The Prophet replied, "What shall I recite?").

The Prophet added, "The angel caught me (forcefully) and pressed me so hard that I could not bear it any more.
He then released me and again asked me to read
(
Comment: Angel Gabriel Jibril did not bring a book to read.
Read means recite
by repeating the words spoken to you by Angel Gabriel Jibril.
He then released me and again asked me to recite).

and I replied,
'I do not know how to read'
(
Comment: meaning I do not know how to recite meaning what shall I recite?
and I replied, "What shall I recite?").

Thereupon he caught me again and pressed me a second time till I could not bear it any more.
He then released me and again asked me to read
(
Comment: Angel Gabriel Jibril did not bring a book to read.
Read means recite
by repeating the words spoken to you by Angel Gabriel Jibril.
He then released me and again asked me to recite).

but again I replied, 'I do not know how to read
(or what shall I read)?
(
Comment: This hadith has included in brackets confirmation that I do not know how to read means what shall I read
This hadith confirms that the true
meaning of I do not know how to recite means what shall I recite?
Angel Gabriel Jibril did not bring a book to read which confirms that Prophet Muhammad is responding with the words what shall I recite?
but again I replied, "What shall I recite?")

Thereupon he caught me for the third time and pressed me, and then released me and said, 'Read
(
Comment: Angel Gabriel Jibril did not bring a book to read.
Read means recite
by repeating the words spoken to you by Angel Gabriel Jibril.
Thereupon he caught me for the third time and pressed me, and then released me and said, "Recite).

in the name of your Lord, who has created
(all that exists) has created man from a clot. Read!
(Comment: Angel Gabriel Jibril did not bring a book to read.
Read means recite
by repeating the words spoken to you by Angel Gabriel Jibril.
in the name of your Lord, who has created (all that exists) has created man from a clot. Recite!).

And your Lord is the Most Generous
." (96.1, 96.2, 96.3).
(
Comment: Sahih Bukhari Volume 1 Book 1 Number 3 shows that the correct meaning of “read” is "recite" by repeating the words spoken to you by Angel Gabriel Jibril in Quran 96.1, 96.2, 96.3).

Quran 2:252 Ayah 2:252
These are the revelations of Allah. We (Allah through Angel Gabriel Jibril) recite them to you (Prophet Muhammad) with the truth, and indeed you are one of the Messengers (of Allah).

Quran 75:16 Ayah 75:16
(Prophet Muhammad) do not recite to hurry (the memorization of) it (the Quran).

Quran 75:17 Ayah 75:17
It is Us (Allah) who have accumulated it (the Quran, in your memory) and (made possible) its recitation

Quran 75:18 Ayah 75:18
So when We (Allah) recite it (the Quran, through the Holy Spirit, angel Gabriel Jibril), then follow its recitation (by repeating what you heard).

Then Allah’s Apostle returned with the Inspiration and with his heart beating severely. Then he went to Khadija bint Khuwailid and said, "Cover me! Cover me!"
They covered him till his fear was over and after that he told her everything that had happened and said, "I fear that something may happen to me."
Khadija replied, "Never! By Allah, Allah will never disgrace you.
You keep good relations with your Kith and kin, help the poor and the destitute, serve your guests generously and assist the deserving calamity-afflicted ones." Khadija then accompanied him to her cousin Waraqa bin Naufal bin Asad bin 'Abdul 'Uzza, who, during the Pre-Islamic Period became a Christian and used to write the writing with Hebrew letters.
He would write from the Gospel in Hebrew as much as Allah wished him to write.
He was an old man and had lost his eyesight.
Khadija said to Waraqa, "Listen to the story of your nephew, O my cousin!"
Waraqa asked, "O my nephew! What have you seen?"
Allah’s Apostle described whatever he had seen.
Waraqa said, "This is the same one who keeps the secrets (angel Gabriel) whom Allah had sent to Moses.
I wish I were young and could live up to the time when your people would turn you out."
Allah’s Apostle asked, "Will they drive me out?"
Waraqa replied in the affirmative and said, "Anyone (man) who came with something similar to what you have brought was treated with hostility; and if I should remain alive till the day when you will be turned out then I would support you strongly."
But after a few days Waraqa died and the Divine Inspiration was also paused for a while.

Narrated Jabir bin 'Abdullah Al-Ansari while talking about the period of pause in revelation reporting the speech of the Prophet
"While I was walking, all of a sudden I heard a voice from the sky.
I looked up and saw the same angel who had visited me at the cave of Hira' sitting on a chair between the sky and the earth.
I got afraid of him and came back home and said, 'Wrap me (in blankets).'
And then Allah revealed the following Holy Ayahs (of Quran): 'O you (i.e. Muhammad)! Wrapped up in garments!' Arise and warn (the people against Allah’s Punishment).... up to 'and desert the idols.' (74.1-5)
After this the revelation started coming strongly, frequently and regularly."
(End of the hadith of Sahih Bukhari Volume 1 Book 1 Number 3 narrated by 'Aisha the wife of Prophet Muhammad).

In the first revelation from Allah to Prophet Muhammad Angel Gabriel Jibril asked Prophet Muhammad “to recite” not “to read.”
Angel Gabriel Jibril did not bring a book for Prophet Muhammad to read.
Prophet Muhammad replied “what shall I recite?” not “I do not know how to read.”
In the Hadith of Sahih Bukhari Volume 1 Book 1 Number 3 the third time the words 'I do not know how to read” are asked they are followed in brackets by these words “(or what shall I read)?” meaning what shall I recite?
If "Read" is correct then according to the narrator Prophet Muhammad is saying "what shall I read?"
There is a problem in this hadith story because the narrator is suggesting Prophet Muhammad cannot read by saying “I do not know how to read” and then suggesting in brackets that Prophet Muhammad is saying “(or what shall I read)?”
The problem with this hadith story is that there was no book to read.
If "read" 1400 years ago in Makkah means "read from your memory what I say to you" and
Prophet Muhammad is replying "what shall I read" meaning what do you want me to read from my memory then that would make sense.
The idea that Prophet Muhammad could not read and write comes from misunderstanding this hadith story and then giving a wrong meaning to the word ummi unlettered in the Quran.
Ummi unlettered in the Quran never means cannot read and write.
Ummi unlettered means uneducated in the scriptures of Allah.
People who can read and write but are uneducated in the scriptures of Allah are called Ummi unlettered.
Jews who can read and write but have not studied the Torah Taurat are called Ummi unlettered.
The stone idol worshippers who wrote poetry and put their writings on the Kabah are called Ummi unlettered because they are uneducated in the scriptures of Allah.
Prophet Muhammad was called Ummi unlettered because he was uneducated in the scriptures of Allah before the Quran was revealed to him.

The meaning of unlettered Ummi is uneducated in the Book of Allah.

Quran 2:78 Ayah 2:78 And among them (the lettered Jews of Yathrib Arabia today Medina Saudi Arabia, the Jews with religious knowledge in Yathrib Arabia, the Jews who are educated in the Scriptures) are unlettered people (ummiyyoona, Ummiyyun, ommiyyoona, Jews who are uneducated in the Scripture, Jewish people who have not studied the Jewish Scriptures, Jews) who do not know the Scripture except from what they heard others say and (with that small knowledge) they do nothing but conjecture (guess and speculate about the meaning of the Scriptures because they have not studied the Torah Taurat as every Jew should have studied).

Note 1. Unlettered Ummi does not mean cannot read and write.

Unlettered Ummi means uneducated in the Book of Allah.

Quran 3:20 Ayah 3:20 So if they dispute with you (Prophet Muhammad) say: "I have submitted myself to Allah (Muslim means willingly submitting your will to the will of Allah), and (so have) those who follow me."And say to those who were given the Scripture (the Jews and the Christians) and to those who are the unlettered (people, Al-Ommiyyeena, Al-Ummiyyeena, Ummiyyun, the people uneducated in the Scripture known as stone idol worshippers in Mecca Arabia today Makkah Saudi Arabia), "Do you (also) submit yourselves to Allah?" If they do (then) they are rightly guided but if they turn away (then) your duty is only to convey the message (of Allah to them). Allah is all-seeing of (what) His (Allah’s) servants (do).

Note 1. Unlettered Ummi does not mean cannot read and write.

Unlettered Ummi means uneducated in the Book of Allah.

Quran 3:75 Ayah 3:75 Among the people of the Scripture (the Jews of Yathrib Arabia today Medina Saudi Arabia) are those who (are honest and) if you trusted them to look after a great amount of wealth shall readily return it to you, and among them (the Jews of Yathrib Arabia) are others who (are dishonest and) if trusted with a single silver coin shall not repay it unless you constantly stand demanding it, because they (who are dishonest) say, "There is no sin on us if we are not honest in our dealings with the unlettered (people, al-ummiyyeena people, Ummiyyun people, al-ommiyyeena people, the people who are uneducated in the Scripture because they are not Jewish and therefore they are not from our nation)." But they tell a lie against Allah and they know it (is a lie, it is evil, it is not righteous, it is not allowed by Allah to be dishonest with any person or community or nation, it is not allowed by Allah to trade dishonestly with any person or community or nation).

Note 1. Unlettered Ummi does not mean cannot read and write.

Unlettered Ummi means uneducated in the Book of Allah.

Quran 7:157 Ayah 7:157 Those who follow the messenger, the unlettered Prophet (Al-Nabiyya Al-Ummiyya, Al-Ummi, Ummi, Ummiyy, Ummy, the Prophet who was previously uneducated in the Scriptures, Prophet Muhammad who had no formal education in the Scriptures until he was taught the Scripture through the revelation, inspiration and guidance of Allah) whom they find mentioned in the Torah (Taurat, Deuteronomy 18:15 – 18:22 which describes all the prophets of Allah including Prophet Jesus Isa and Prophet Muhammad) and the Gospel (Injil, Gospel of John 14:16, 15:26 – 15:27, 16:7 – 16:15 where Prophet Jesus Isa describes the next prophet which is Prophet Muhammad in the Scriptures) that is with them (the Jews with the Torah Taurat and the Christians with the Gospel Injil) and who (is the prophet that) enjoins on them (the believers among the people of Mecca Arabia today Makkah Saudi Arabia) what is good and forbids for them what is evil and relieves them of their burden (of false belief in stone idol worship) and the chains that were on them (such as sacrificing new born female babies by burying them alive as offerings to the stone idol gods). Those who believe in him (Prophet Muhammad) and honour him and help him and follow the light (in the Quran meaning in the recitation) which is sent down (by the revelation, inspiration and guidance that is sent by Allah) with him (Prophet Muhammad), they are the successful (in the Hereafter).

Note 1. Unlettered Ummi does not mean cannot read and write.

Unlettered Ummi means uneducated in the Book of Allah.

Quran 7:158 Ayah 7:158 Say (Prophet Muhammad): "O people, I am the messenger of Allah for all of you from Him (Allah) whose kingdom extends over the heavens and the earth. There is no god but Him (Allah who is) the giver of life and death. So believe in Allah and the messenger, the unlettered Prophet (Al-Nabiyya Al-Ummiyya, Al-Ummi, Ummi, Ummiyy, Ummy, the Prophet who was previously uneducated in the Scriptures, Prophet Muhammad who had no formal education in the Scriptures until he was taught the Scripture through the revelation, inspiration and guidance of Allah and) who believes in Allah and His (Allah’s) words. Obey him (Allah and his messenger) so that you might be rightly guided."

Note 1. Unlettered Ummi does not mean cannot read and write.

Unlettered Ummi means uneducated in the Book of Allah.

Quran 42:52 Ayah 42:52 And so We (Allah) have revealed to you (Prophet Muhammad) an inspiration (the Quran) by Our (Allah’s) command. You (Prophet Muhammad) did not know the book (of Allah, the Scripture of Allah, meaning you were not educated in the book of Allah. A person who is not educated in the Scripture book of Allah is an unlettered Ummi) or the faith (in Allah) but We (Allah) made it (the Scripture book of Allah and the faith in Allah) a light by which We (Allah) guide whom We (Allah) please of Our (Allah's) servants. You (Prophet Muhammad) certainly guide them (the people) on the correct path (lettered are those people who have been educated in the Scripture book of Allah) –

Note 1. Quran 42:52 is the meaning of ummi which means uneducated in the Book of Allah.

Note 2. Ummi is not about the ability to read and write.

An ummi Jew is uneducated In the Torah Taurat.

An ummi Christian is uneducated in the Gospel Injil.

An Ummi community such as the Arabs in Makkah who had people who wrote and read contracts, agreements and poetry that were put on the walls of the Kabah 1400 years ago were uneducated in the Books of Allah.

Prophet Muhammad was the ummi prophet meaning the prophet who was uneducated in the Book of Allah until the Quran was revealed to him.

Quran 62:2 Ayah 62:2 It is He (Allah) who has sent to the unlettered (people, Al-Ommiyyeena, Al-Ummiyyun, Ummi, Ummiyy, Ummy, Ummyyeen, to the people uneducated in the Scriptures, to the people with no formal education in the Scriptures), a messenger (Prophet Muhammad who is) from among them (the people of Mecca Arabia who are uneducated in the Scriptures), to recite to them His (Allah’s) revelations and clean them (of their sins of worshipping stone statues as idols that represent god) and teach them the Book (the Quran) and wisdom. And although before (when they prayed to stone idols) they were in clear error –

Note 1. Unlettered Ummi does not mean cannot read and write.

Unlettered Ummi means uneducated in the Book of Allah.

Comment 2. Nowhere in the Quran does Allah say Prophet Muhammad cannot read and write.

Those who use the hadith story from humans that Prophet Muhammad could not read and write to understand the words in the Quran only hide from themself the true meaning of every verse in the Quran for which they are using that story to understand the word of Allah.

They hide the true meaning from them self of every verse containing the words ummi, lettered and unlettered because none of these words mean the ability or inability to read and write.

They change in their mind the true meanings of the verses in the Quran by making those verses fit the idea that Prophet Muhammad can not read and write.

Nowhere in the Quran does Allah say Prophet Muhammad cannot read and write.

If hadith stories do not agree with the Quran then reject it.

See 2. What does Ummi mean?

What does lettered and unlettered mean?

Unlettered does not mean a person who cannot read and write.

Unlettered ummi does not mean a community that cannot read and write.

There are people in every ummi who can read and write that is why writing containing announcements were placed on the wall of the Kabah to be read by those who could read in the time of Prophet Muhammad.

Quran 96:3 Ayah 96:3 Recite (meaning Prophet Muhammad repeat these words after Angel Gabriel Jibril has spoken them to you). Your Lord (Allah) is the most generous -

Comment 1. See Quran 96:1 comments.

Quran 96:4 Ayah 96:4 (It is Allah) who taught (the messengers of Allah, Prophet Moses Musa, Prophet David Dawud, Prophet Jesus Isa and Prophet Muhammad) how to use the pen (for writing the Torah Taurat and the Psalms Zabur and the Gospel Injil and the Koran Quran and thereby)

Quran 96:5 Ayah 96:5 Taught the human (by revealing the Torah Taurat and the Psalms Zabur and the Gospel Injil and the Koran Quran) what (knowledge of Allah) they (the humans) did not know.

Comment 1. Why did Allah teach every messenger of Allah how to use the pen?

Why did Allah teach every messenger of Allah how to read and write?

If the messengers of Allah could not read and write then they could not check what their scribes had written.

If the messengers of Allah could not read and write then they would not know the correct spelling of each word of Allah.

If the messengers of Allah could not read and write then they could not be held responsible for correctly conveying the message of Allah if their scribes made errors in their writings.

The importance of the pen is revealed by Allah in both the first revelation of the Quran known as Quran chapter 96 and the second revelation of the Quran known as Quran chapter 68 because Allah is telling Prophet Muhammad to immediately begin to write down what Allah is revealing to his heart (mind, brain).

Allah was commanding His messenger to write down with a pen with his own hand what was revealed to him.

It is the Prophet of Allah who is responsible to correctly convey the message of Allah therefore it was necessary that the Prophet be able to read and write otherwise he would not be able to check what scribes had recorded.

To convey the message of Allah every messenger is given the skill of reading and writing.

If Allah is commanding humans to use the pen as the very first and second revelations in the Quran from Allah then certainly Allah is commanding His messenger Prophet Muhammad to use the pen.

Comment 3. The eighty fifth revelation from Allah to Prophet Muhammad and humankind in Quran chapter 29.

Quran 29:48 Ayah 29:48 (In Quran 25:5 the stone idol worshippers in Mecca Arabia said Prophet Muhammad is writing the words of the Quran that another person is dictating to Prophet Muhammad to write down. Allah replies in Quran 25:4 declaring as unjust and false the accusation that the Quran is invented and that other people are helping Prophet Muhammad with it by explaining in Quran 16:103 that the speech of the person a Christian blacksmith named Barbarous whom they suggest is helping Prophet Muhammad by dictating the words of the Quran speaks a foreign language whereas the Quran is in clear Arabic speech. To the statement in Quran 25:5 that Prophet Muhammad can read and write said by the people in Makkah who in Quran 10:16 had lived with Prophet Muhammad all their life Allah replies not by saying that Prophet Muhammad cannot read and write but by saying) And you (Prophet Muhammad) did not recite any book (to the people) before this (Quran was revealed to you) nor did you write it (any book) with your hand (before this Quran was revealed to you) otherwise the doubters might have had reason to doubt (your truthfulness about the Quran because they would have suspected you were reciting and writing the Quran for them like you had recited and written books for them before you became a prophet if you had been a reciter of books and a writer of books before you became a prophet. The people of Makkah 1400 years ago were known as the Ummi Unlettered people meaning the people who were uneducated in the Scriptures and they wrote contracts, agreements, announcements and poetry on pieces of paper, leaf and bone which they put on the wall of the Kabah however they did not write books. Buyers, sellers and traders in Makkah used the Arabic alphabet to represent numbers to make calculations because numbers as we know them today did not exist 1400 years ago in the Arabic language. Quran 29:48 is not saying Prophet Muhammad could not read and write but only that he did not recite or write books before he was a prophet like other unlettered Ummi people in Makkah who could read and write but also did not write books. The most well known people writing books near Makkah were the Lettered people meaning the people who were educated in the Scriptures and the books they wrote were the Scriptures. In Quran 2:78 an unlettered Ummi is a Jew who is uneducated in the Book of Allah the Torah Taurat. In Quran 3:20 and Quran 3:75 the lettered people are the people of the Book who are educated in the book of Allah and everyone who is not educated in the book of Allah is called the unlettered Ummi. In Quran 7:157 and Quran 7:158 Prophet Muhammad is the unlettered Ummi meaning he was uneducated in the Book of Allah before it was revealed to him. In Quran 62:2 the unlettered Ummi are the people who are uneducated in the Book of Allah and from among themselves has come a messenger Prophet Muhammad who is also called the unlettered Ummi meaning he was uneducated in the Book of Allah before it was revealed to him. In Quran 42:52 Allah confirms that Prophet Muhammad did not know the book of Allah meaning he was uneducated in the book of Allah before it was revealed to him in the same way as the people of Makkah were uneducated in the book of Allah meaning the prophet and his people were unlettered Ummi meaning uneducated in the Book of Allah. Quran 29:48 does not say Prophet Muhammad cannot read and write on pieces of paper, leaf and bone but only says that before Muhammad was a prophet he did not recite or write books meaning why would you doubt the Quran is from Allah when the Quran is a book recited and written by a man who had never before recited and written a book? If he had recited and written a book before the Quran was revealed to him then you might have had a reason to doubt Prophet Muhammad meaning why do you doubt the honesty of Prophet Muhammad when he has given you no reason that you should doubt him?).

3a. Quran 29:48 shows how Allah answered the claim from people in Makkah 1400 years ago that Prophet Muhammad could read and write in Quran 25:5 expressed as common knowledge because Prophet Muhammad had lived with them all his life in Quran 10:16.

Note 2. Quran 29:48 is not about the ability of Prophet Muhammad to read and write.

Note 3. Quran 29:48 explains that Prophet Muhammad did not recite any Book to his people before the Quran was revealed to him and Prophet Muhammad did not write any Book before the Quran was revealed to him.

Quran 29:48 says that if Prophet Muhammad had written a book or recited a Book to his people before the Quran had been revealed to him then the people might have had a reason to doubt the Quran because they would have thought that the Quran was like the books he had recited and written before.

3b. Nowhere in the Quran does Allah say Prophet Muhammad cannot read and write.

Quran 29:48 says Prophet Muhammad had not recited any book before the Quran was revealed to him.
Quran 29:48 is not saying Prophet Muhammad cannot read.

Quran 29:48 says Prophet Muhammad had not written any book before the Quran was revealed to him
Quran 29:48 is not saying Prophet Muhammad cannot write.

3c. Allah does not say Prophet Muhammad cannot read in Quran 29:48.

You did not recite any book before this Quran was revealed to you is not saying you could not read before this Quran was revealed to you.

The correct meaning is you did not recite any book to the people before this Quran was revealed to you.

If you had recited books to the people before this Quran was revealed to you then the people might have had a reason to doubt the Quran.

Allah does not say Prophet Muhammad cannot write in Quran 29:48.

You did not write it (any book) with your hand before this Quran was revealed to you is not saying you could not write before this Quran was revealed to you.

The correct meaning is you did not write any book with your hand before this Quran was revealed to you.

If you had written books before the Quran was revealed to you then the people might have had a reason to doubt the Quran because they would think you wrote the Quran for them like you wrote books before the Quran for them.

What does Quran 29:48 say?

Quran 29:48 does not say Prophet Muhammad could not write words on a piece of paper or read words on a piece of paper before the Quran was revealed to him.

Quran 29:48 says Prophet Muhammad did not read or write books meaning he was not a professional reader or professional writer meaning he was not a man who made a living by reading and writing books.

Quran 29:48 says Prophet Muhammad was not a professional writer and professional reader before the Quran was revealed to him.

Quran 29:48 says nothing about the reading and writing skills of Prophet Muhammad before or after the Quran was revealed to him.

3d. People in Makkah would not say Prophet Muhammad could read and write if Prophet Muhammad could not read and write. The reason is that everyone in Makkah knew if Prophet Muhammad could read and write because Prophet Muhammad had lived among them all his life.

Quran 10:16 Ayah 10:16 “... I (Prophet Muhammad) lived among you (the stone idol worshippers of Mecca) all my life before it (the Quran was revealed to me) …”

Quran 25:5 Ayah 25:5 And they (the stone idol worshippers in Makkah) say, “(The Quran is the) stories of the people of the past which he (Prophet Muhammad) has written down and they (another person) are dictating (meaning speaking the words) to him (Prophet Muhammad) in the morning and evening (in secret so that Prophet Muhammad can write down the words of the Quran and learn those words so that in the day Prophet Muhammad can recite the Quran in public to the people of Makkah).

If the people in Makkah claimed that Prophet Muhammad could read and write it was because this was known by all the people in Makkah.

Everyone in Makkah knew Prophet Muhammad could read and write otherwise such a claim would have been rejected by the people in Makkah who would have said “this is not true because we know Prophet Muhammad cannot read or write.”

Everyone in Mecca knew Prophet Muhammad could read and write otherwise the Quran would have said “but Prophet Muhammad cannot read or write”.

The people in Makkah said the truth “that Prophet Muhammad could read and write” and then they added a falsehood to explain where they believed the Quran came from “they (another person) are dictating (meaning speaking the words) to him (Prophet Muhammad) in the morning and evening (in secret so that Prophet Muhammad can write down the words of the Quran and learn those words so that in the day Prophet Muhammad can recite the Quran in public to the people of Makkah).

3e. Allah explains why the Quran is from Allah.

The Quran says Prophet Muhammad did not recite Scripture before the Quran was revealed.

The Quran says Prophet Muhammad did not recite any book before the Quran was revealed.

1400 years ago the only books seen in Makkah were the Scripture books carried by the Lettered people meaning the people educated in the Scriptures.

The Quran does not say Prophet Muhammad could not read on pieces of paper, leaf and bone before the Quran was revealed.

The Quran does not say Prophet Muhammad could not read on pieces of paper, leaf and bone after the Quran was revealed.

The Quran says Prophet Muhammad did not write Scripture before the Quran was revealed.

The Quran says Prophet Muhammad did not write any book before the Quran was revealed

1400 years ago in Makkah the only people writing books were the Lettered people meaning the people who were educated in the Scriptures and the books they wrote were the Scriptures.

The Quran does not say Prophet Muhammad could not write on pieces of paper, leaf and bone before the Quran was revealed.

The Quran does not say Prophet Muhammad could not write on pieces of paper, leaf and bone after the Quran was revealed.

Allah does not say Prophet Muhammad was illiterate.

The people of Makkah were known as the Unlettered people meaning the people who were uneducated in the Scriptures and they wrote contracts, agreements, announcements and poetry on pieces of paper, leaf and bone.

Allah does not say Prophet Muhammad cannot read and write.

Quran 10:16 Ayah 10:16 Say (Prophet Muhammad), “If Allah had willed then I (Prophet Muhammad) would not have recited it (the Quran) to you nor would He (Allah) have made it (the Quran) known to you. I (Prophet Muhammad) lived among you (the stone idol worshippers of Mecca Arabia today Makkah Saudi Arabia) all my life before it (the Quran was revealed to me)Have you no understanding (that the Quran is not from the will of Prophet Muhammad but from the will of Allah?)”

3f. People who cannot read and write but have been taught the knowledge in the book of Allah are lettered because they have been educated with the knowledge that is contained in the book of Allah.

Lettered and unlettered does not mean can or cannot read and write.

Lettered and unlettered means educated in the knowledge contained in the book of Allah or uneducated in the knowledge contained in the book of Allah.

A person who is not educated in the Scripture book of Allah is unlettered) or the faith (in Allah) but We (Allah) made it (the Scripture book of Allah and the faith in Allah) a light by which We (Allah) guide whom We (Allah) please of Our (Allah's) servants. You (Prophet Muhammad) certainly guide them (the people) on the correct path (lettered are those people who have been educated in the Scripture book of Allah) –

See 1.

See video Did Prophet Muhammad know how to read and write?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=34hgGlWovbQ

3g. The confusion about the meaning of unlettered ummi is the same confusion that exists about the meaning of the good news son in the story of the sacrifice of the son of Prophet Abraham Ibrahim.

Everywhere the word ummi unlettered is used in Quran 2:78, 3:20, 3:75, 7:157, 7:158 and 62:2 it means uneducated in the knowledge that is contained in the book of Allah and this meaning is confirmed in Quran 42:52.

In the Quran ummi unlettered never means cannot read and write.

In the same way everywhere the word good news is used in the Prophet Abraham Ibrahim story in Quran chapters 11, 15, 19, 29, 37 and 51 it is the name for Prophet Isaac Ishaq whether the good news son is named or not named.

In Quran chapters 11, 15, 19, 29 and 51 Allah uses the name good news nine times for Prophet Isaac Ishaq where four times he is not named in Quran 15:53, 15:54, 15:55 and 51:28 and five times he is named in Quran 11:69, 11:71, 11:74, 29:27 and 29:31 to show that when good news is named or unnamed it is always the name Allah uses for Prophet Isaac Ishaq in the story of Prophet Abraham Ibrahim.

Since Allah used the name good news nine times both naming and not naming Prophet Isaac Ishaq it is clear that the two uses of good news one unnamed in Quran 37:101 and the other named as Prophet Isaac Ishaq in Quran 37:112 are both Prophet Isaac Ishaq.

Allah blesses the father and the son Prophet Isaac Ishaq in Quran 37:112.

Allah has left no other blessing in the story of the sacrifice.

This blessing is confirmed in Quran 12:6 and 38:45 where Allah blesses the father and the son Prophet Isaac Ishaq with vision to understand dreams and showing three verses later in Quran 38:48 that it was not Prophet Ishmael Ismail that Prophet Abraham Ibrahim had seen being sacrificed in a dream by blessing Prophet Ishmael Ismail without his father and without the power of vision.

3h. Why does Satan Shaitan whisper lies?

On the Day of Judgement it might be that everyone who believed a false hadith Satan Shaitan shall claim them as his followers.

If your belief is supported by the Quran you are safe.

To know if Prophet Muhammad can read and write or cannot read and write you need evidence from the Quran to be sure you are correctly guided.

Those who follow hadith stories that are not in the Quran are misguided to follow misguidance because they have doubted the word of Allah in the Books of Allah.

Those who are guided hold tightly to the books of Allah.

Those who are misguided are followers of stories from humans that cannot be found in the books of Allah.

Satan Shaitan deceived some Christians with the story that Jesus is a partner with Allah or Allah Himself in a Trinity which is a story that cannot be found in the Gospel Injil.

There are many stories in Muslim hadith that cannot be found in the Quran and it is certain that Satan Shaitan has done the same deception in Muslim hadith as Satan Shaitan had done in Christian hadith.
This is how Allah tests who is following the stories of Allah and who has abandoned Allah for other stories that cannot be found in the Books of Allah.
If hadith stories agree with the Quran then accept it.
If hadith stories do not agree with the Quran then reject it.
On the Day of Judgement Allah judges by the words in the protected Quran.
On the Day of Judgement Allah does not judge by the words in unprotected human hadith stories.

Comment 4. Was Prophet Muhammad illiterate? Was Prophet Muhammad unable to read and write?

The first revelation from Allah to Prophet Muhammad was the pen which is used for writing and again the pen is revealed in the second revelation from Allah to Prophet Muhammad.

If Allah revealed the pen would you not want to use a pen?

Quran 2:44 is asking how can you recite and tell other people that Allah teaches humans to use a pen for writing and learning if you do not use the pen with your hand for writing as Allah has revealed to you in the Quran?

Is it believable that Prophet Muhammad could not read and write when for 23 years Prophet Muhammad was reciting the command from Allah to use the pen for writing in Quran 68:1, 96:4 - 96:5 and reciting Quran 2:44?

Quran 2:44 Ayah 2:44 How, while you recite the scriptures (of Allah’s commands), can you tell people to follow the scriptures while you forget to follow it yourselves? Have you no sense?

Quran 68:1 Ayah 68:1 Nun (From the Tablet Lawhin containing the decrees of Allah, the Quran has descended with the story of Nun Prophet Jonah Yunus who tried to run away from Allah in a ship so as not to deliver Allah's warning to a people he hated but in Quran 68:48 Allah tells you Prophet Muhammad do not do that because no one can run away from Allah. In Quran 68:49 comments and in the Torah Taurat Allah shows Prophet Jonah Yunus through the birth and death of a plant that Prophet Jonah Yunus’s wish for bad things to happen to people who have beliefs and traditions that are different to his is wrong because every human deserves help and mercy to find Allah during their life in this world. Allah teaches Prophet Jonah Yunus by showing him that if you care for plants and animals then how much more are humans deserving of your care and kindness and mercy). (I Allah swear that this is the truth) by (the truth of the existence of) the pen and (by the truth of) what they (the messengers of Allah, Prophet Moses Musa, Prophet David Dawud, Prophet Jesus Isa and Prophet Muhammad) write (in the Torah Taurat and the Psalms Zabur and the Gospel Injil and the Koran Quran, that)

Quran 96:4 Ayah 96:4 (It is Allah) who taught (the messengers of Allah, Prophet Moses Musa, Prophet David Dawud, Prophet Jesus Isa and Prophet Muhammad) how to use the pen (for writing the Torah Taurat and the Psalms Zabur and the Gospel Injil and the Koran Quran and thereby) –

Quran 96:5 Ayah 96:5 Taught the human (by revealing the Torah Taurat and the Psalms Zabur and the Gospel Injil and the Koran Quran) what (knowledge of Allah) they (the humans) did not know.

Quran 2:44 Ayah 2:44 How, while you recite the scriptures (of Allah’s commands), can you tell people to follow the scriptures while you forget to follow it yourselves? Have you no sense?

4a. Satan Shaitan misguides by confusing humans about the true meaning of some ayahs in the Quran.

See Quran 2:78, 3:20, 3:75, 3:144, 4:157, 4:158, 5:75, 6:158, 7:157, 7:158, 21:34, 21:81, 21:82, 21:95, 27:82, 29:48, 32:23, 33:40, 37:102, 38:26, 39:30, 40:46, 42:52, 43:61, 54:1, 56:79, 62:2, 68:1, 69:40, 80:15, 81:19, 96:1, 96:4, 96:5 comments.

Quran 96:5 Ayah 96:5 Taught the human (by revealing the Torah Taurat and the Psalms Zabur and the Gospel Injil and the Koran Quran) what (knowledge of Allah) they (the humans) did not know.

Comment 1. How did Allah teach humans?

"Teaches you what you did not know" through Prophet Muhammad in Quran 2:151 confirms Prophet Muhammad is the messenger in what (knowledge of Allah) they (the humans) did not know in Quran 96:4 - 96:5.

Allah teaches the human messengers of Allah how to use the pen to write the books of Allah.
Allah teaches the human what they did not know through the messengers of Allah.
Scribes will later assist the messenger of Allah.
The messenger of Allah needs the knowledge of reading and writing so that he can check what his scribes have written.
The messenger of Allah is responsible for passing the message correctly and this is why Allah gives the ability to read and write with a pen to every messenger of Allah.
Without the skill of reading and writing the messenger could not check the correctness of what his scribes had written.
Without the skill of reading and writing the messenger would be holding writing which he could not understand yet be responsible to Allah for its absolute correctness.

1a. What has Allah revealed to Prophet Muhammad in the first revelation?

1b. What has Allah revealed to Prophet Muhammad in the second revelation?

Quran 68:2 Ayah 68:2 By the favour of your Lord (Allah) you (Prophet Muhammad) are not a mad man (as is said by some of the stone idol worshippers in Makkah).

Quran 68:3 Ayah 68:3 And for you (Prophet Muhammad) there is a never ending reward (in the Hereafter).

1c. The honourable Prophet Muhammad.

How has Allah honoured Prophet Muhammad in the Quran?

Quran 68:2 Ayah 68:2 By the favour of your Lord (Allah) you (Prophet Muhammad) are not a mad man (as is said by some of the stone idol worshippers in Makkah).

Quran 68:3 Ayah 68:3 And for you (Prophet Muhammad) there is a never ending reward (in the Hereafter).

Quran 68:4 Ayah 68:4 And you (Prophet Muhammad) have a high moral character.

Quran 68:5 Ayah 68:5 And you (Prophet Muhammad) shall see and they (the people of Mecca Arabia today Makkah Saudi Arabia) shall also see (that what Allah has revealed is the truth).

Quran 68:6 Ayah 68:6 Which of you (people) is (really) mad? (The one who calls people to believe in Allah or the one who ridicules people who believe in Allah?).

Video: When they insult our prophet https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I6zuKbBlmRo

Just as an honourable messenger Prophet Moses Musa came to the Egyptian people in Quran 44:17 also an honourable messenger Prophet Muhammad come to the people of Makkah Arabia.

Quran 44:17 Ayah 44:17 And before them (the stone idol worshippers of Makkah) We (Allah) tested Pharaoh's Firon’s people (the Egyptians) when an honourable messenger (Prophet Moses Musa) came to them.

The most honourable among humans in behaviour and Allah fearing is the most righteous of humans.

Quran 49:13 Ayah 49:13 All humans, We (Allah) have created you from a male and a female and have made you nations and tribes so that you may know one another. The most honourable of you in the sight of Allah is the (one who is the) most righteous (in behaviour and Allah fearing) among you. Allah knows all and is aware of all things.

Allah has told humans to honour meaning respect Prophet Muhammad.

Quran 35:10 Ayah 35:10 Whoever desires honour (and power, should know that) honour (and power) belong to Allah (to give to whoever of Allah's servants Allah chooses). To Him (Allah) good speech ascends (meaning, good speech is accepted by Allah), and the righteous deeds raise it (meaning, the righteous deeds that follow from good speech are accepted by Allah) but those who plot evil deeds shall have a great punishment and such plotting shall achieve nothing.

Quran 7:157 Ayah 7:157 Those who follow the messenger, the unlettered Prophet (Al-Nabiyya Al-Ummiyya, Al-Ummi, Ummi, Ummiyy, Ummy, the Prophet who was previously uneducated in the Scriptures, Prophet Muhammad who had no formal education in the Scriptures until he was taught the Scripture through the revelation, inspiration and guidance of Allah) whom they find mentioned in the Torah (Taurat, Deuteronomy 18:15 – 18:22 which describes all the prophets of Allah including Prophet Jesus Isa and Prophet Muhammad) and the Gospel (Injil, Gospel of John 14:16, 15:26 – 15:27, 16:7 – 16:15 where Prophet Jesus Isa describes the next prophet which is Prophet Muhammad in the Scriptures) that is with them (the Jews with the Torah Taurat and the Christians with the Gospel Injil) and who (is the prophet that) enjoins on them (the believers among the people of Mecca Arabia today Makkah Saudi Arabia) what is good and forbids for them what is evil and relieves them of their burden (of false belief in stone idol worship) and the chains that were on them (such as sacrificing new born female babies by burying them alive as offerings to the stone idol gods)Those who believe in him (Prophet Muhammad) and honour him and help him and follow the light (in the Quran meaning in the recitation) which is sent down (by the revelation, inspiration and guidance that is sent by Allah) with him (Prophet Muhammad), they are the successful (in the Hereafter).

Quran 48:9 Ayah 48:9 So that you (people) may believe in Allah and His messenger (Prophet Muhammad) and support him (meaning help Prophet Muhammad, see Quran 7:157) and honour him (meaning respect Prophet Muhammad, see Quran 7:157) and praise Him (Allah, in prayer) in the morning and evening.

1d. The honourable angel Gabriel Jibril.

Why is Quran 81:19 about angel Gabriel Jibril when both Prophet Muhammad and angel Gabriel Jibril are honourable messengers of Allah?

In Quran chapter 81 Allah is answering the claim of the stone idol worshippers that Prophet Muhammad is possessed by Satan Shaitan.

In Quran chapter 81 Allah is showing that revelation from Allah to Prophet Muhammad is through the Holy Spirit angel Gabriel Jibril.

Quran 81:19 Ayah 81:19 That this (Quran recited to Prophet Muhammad) is the word of an honourable messenger (angel Gabriel Jibril).

Quran 81:25 Ayah 81:25 And it (the Quran) is not the word of the cursed Satan Shaitan (as is claimed by some of the stone idol worshippers in Makkah).

Why is Quran 69:40 about Prophet Muhammad when both Prophet Muhammad and angel Gabriel Jibril are honourable messengers of Allah?

In Quran chapter 69 Allah is answering the claim of the stone idol worshippers that the Quran are the words of a human poet or a human fortune teller by saying they are the words of an honourable human .

Quran 69:38 Ayah 69:38 So I (Allah) swear by what you see.

Quran 69:39 Ayah 69:39 And by what you do not see.

Quran 69:40 Ayah 69:40 That this (Quran) is the word of an honourable messenger (Prophet Muhammad).

Quran 69:41 Ayah 69:41 It (the Quran) is not the word of a poet, so small is your faith (in Allah when you say Prophet Muhammad is a poet).

Quran 69:42 Ayah 69:42 Nor (is the Quran) the word of a fortune tellerso little do you think (about Allah when you say Prophet Muhammad is a fortune teller).

Quran 69:43 Ayah 69:43 (The Quran is) a revelation from (Allah) the Lord of the Worlds (of humans and jinn).

Quran 69:44 Ayah 69:44 And if he (Prophet Muhammad) were to invent any sayings in Our (Allah’s) name,

Quran 69:45 Ayah 69:45 We (Allah) would have seized him (Prophet Muhammad) by the right hand -

Quran 69:46 Ayah  69:46 And We (Allah) would have cut off his (Prophet Muhammad’s) Aorta (the artery of his heart to give him an immediate, sudden and unexpected death).

The confusion about who Allah has named as the honourable messenger of the Quran is the same confusion that exists about who Allah has named the good news son in the story of the sacrifice.

The "honourable messenger" in the Quran is used for Prophet Muhammad and angel Gabriel Jibril because the word honourable is used for both Prophet Moses Musa in Quran 44:17 and for angel Gabriel Jibril in Quran 81:19.

However "the good news son" in the story of the sacrifice is Prophet Isaac Ishaq because these words are the name for Prophet Isaac Ishaq.
In the story of the sacrifice the only blessing left by Allah is for Prophet Abraham Ibrahim and Prophet Isaac Ishaq.

In the story of Prophet Abraham Ibrahim
Allah gave the title the good news son to Prophet Isaac Ishaq in Quran 11:69, 11:71, 11:74, 15:53, 15:54, 15:55, 19:49, 29:27, 29:31, 37:101, 37:112, 37:113 and 51:28.

When the Good News son is not named four times in Quran 15:53, 15:54, 15:55 and in Quran 51:28 it is Prophet Isaac Ishaq and this is the same in the story of the sacrifice in Quran 37:101 where the good news son is also not named because it is always the name
Allah gives to Prophet Isaac Ishaq.

When the Good News son is named five times in Quran 11:69, 11:71, 11:74 and Quran 29:27, 29:31 it is Prophet Isaac Ishaq and this is the same in the story of the sacrifice in Quran 37:112 where the good news son is also named Prophet Isaac Ishaq because Good News is always the name
Allah gives to Prophet Isaac Ishaq in the Prophet Abraham Ibrahim story in the Quran.

Allah names Prophet Isaac Ishaq as the good news son 9 times in Quran chapter 11, 15, 19, 29 and 51.
Allah names Prophet Isaac Ishaq four times in Quran chapter 37 twice as the good news son and twice by name.
In the story of the sacrifice in the Quran chapter 37
Allah only blesses Prophet Abraham Ibrahim and his son Prophet Isaac Ishaq Allah has left no other blessing.

Prophet Isaac Ishaq is the story of the Good News son in Quran chapter 11, 15, 19, 29, 37 and 51.

After the story of the sacrifice in Quran chapter 37 in the next chapter Quran chapter 38
Allah blesses the father and the son in the vision dream as Prophet Abraham Ibrahim and Prophet Isaac Ishaq in Quran 38:45 and then blesses Prophet Ishmael Ismail without his father and without the vision dream to show that Prophet Ishmael Ismail was not living with his father during the time of the vision dream of the sacrifice which confirms exactly what Allah has said in the Torah which is with the Jews today.
In the Torah Prophet Isaac Ishaq was “the only son” living with Prophet Abraham Ibrahim during the sacrifice because
Allah had long ago sent Prophet Ishmael Ismail and his mother Hagar Hajar into the desert.

Quran 38:45 Ayah 38:45 And mention Our (
Allah’s) servant Prophet Abraham Ibrahim, Prophet Isaac Ishaq and Prophet Jacob Yaqub Israel (who were), men with strength (of faith in Allah) and vision (to understand the will of Allah).

Quran 38:48 Ayah 38:48 And mention Prophet Ishmael Ismail and Prophet Elisha Al-Yasha and Prophet Ezekiel Zulkifl Dhul-Kifl. And all are from the best (of humans).

Allah blesses Prophet Ishmael Ismail without his father and without the vision dream in Quran chapter 38 because Prophet Ishmael Ismail was not living with Prophet Abraham Ibrahim and Prophet Isaac Ishaq during the vision dream of the sacrifice.

The name of the father and son in the vision dream is confirmed again in Quran 12:6.

Quran 12:6 Ayah 12:6 – “And so your Lord (
Allah) shall choose you (Prophet Joseph Yusuf) and shall teach you the interpretation of stories (dreams) and shall perfect His (Allah’s) favour on you and on the family of Prophet Jacob Yaqub Israel as He (Allahperfected it on your fathers before you, (who were) Prophet Abraham Ibrahim and Prophet Isaac Ishaq. Your Lord (Allah) knows all things and is wise.”

The vision dream is remembered again in Quran 2:124.

Quran 2:124 Ayah 2:124 And when Prophet Abraham Ibrahim was tested (for his faith) by his Lord (
Allahwith certain commands (in a vision dream to sacrifice his son in Quran 37:98 – 37:113 see Quran 6:60 and Quran 39:42 “Allah is the one who takes your souls at night”, Quran 17:60 “the vision” of Prophet Muhammad meaning the dream, Quran 12:6 and Quran 38:45 the vision meaning dream of Prophet Abraham Ibrahim, Prophet Isaac Ishaq and Prophet Jacob Yaqub Israel and Quran 48:27 Prophet Muhammad’s vision meaning dream) and he (Prophet Abraham Ibrahim) fulfilled them (and Allah stopped Prophet Abraham Ibrahim from sacrificing his son), He (Allahsaid, “I shall make you a (religious) leader of humankind.” (Prophet Abraham Ibrahim) said, “and of my offspring” (meaning my children and my descendants, shall they also be religious leaders of humanity)?” He (Allahsaid “(Yes but) My (Allah’s) covenant (agreement) does not include wrong-doers and those without faith (and in Quran 37:113 Allah blessed Prophet Abraham Ibrahim and Prophet Isaac Ishaq but of their offspring are some that do good to their souls and some that do wrong to their souls. Allah leaves no other blessing in the story of the sacrifice).”

Quran 2:124 is the end of the story of the vision dream of the sacrifice of Prophet Isaac Ishaq and Prophet Abraham Ibrahim in this section and Quran 2:125 is the start of the story of the building of the Kabah by Prophet Abraham Ibrahim and Prophet Ishmael Ismail.

Quran 2:125 Ayah 2:125
 And when We (
Allahmade the House (“the House” is l-bayta, see Quran 3:97 “the House” is l-bayti, see Quran 5:97 “the Sacred House” is l-bayta l-harama for mankind which is the Kabah, see Quran 22:26 “the House” is l-bayti which is the House for mankind in Quran 22:25 called “and the sacred mosque” is wal-masjidi l-harami, Quran 22:29 and Quran 22:33 refers to the Kabah in Makkah as the “Ancient House”) a place of return (pilgrimage) for mankind and security (safety) and said “Take the place where Prophet Abraham Ibrahim stood as a place of prayer.” And We (Allah) made covenant (agreement) with Prophet Abraham Ibrahim and Prophet Ishmael Ismail saying, “Purify (clean) My (Allah’s) House (“My House” is baytiya) for those who circumambulate (walk around it, see Quran 22:26 circumambulate “My House” is baytiya, see Quran 22:26 circumambulate “the Ancient House” is bil-bayti l-ʿatīqi) and those who seclude themselves for devotion and prayer, and those who bow down and those who prostrate (their forehead to the ground.” Allah moved people in Arabia away from stone idol worship at the Kabah and taught them the religion of Allah by giving the first Muslims a direction of prayer towards Zion for the first 13 years of Islam in Makkah and the first 17 months of Islam in Yathrib Madinah. The Jewish Hebrew Bible Psalms 84:6 – 84:8 explains that the reason the first Muslims faced towards Zion was to teach them that “Happy is the man whose strength of belief is in You Allah; in whose heart are the highways that lead pilgrims to righteousness” and to show the Jews and Christians that the Allah of Islam is also the Allah of Judaism and the Allah of Christianity as explained in Quran 2:115. Then in Quran 2:125 Allah gave Islam a new direction of prayer facing the Kabah in Makkah for the purpose of teaching that the origin of pilgrimage and circumambulation around the Kabah is for the worship of Allah and not for the worship of stone statues so that the people of Arabia might understand and turn to the worship of Allah and abandon stone idol worship).

The vision dream of Prophet Abraham Ibrahim compared with the vision dream of Prophet Muhammad and the other prophets of
Allah.

Quran 17:60 Ayah 17:60 And (mention Prophet Muhammad) when We (Allahsaid to you, “Your Lord has encompassed the people (meaning Allah has knowledge of everything people do and think)." And We (Allahdid not make the vision (meaning the dream see Quran 6:60 and Quran 39:42 “Allah is the one who takes your souls at night”, Quran 17:60 “the vision” of Prophet Muhammad meaning the dream, Quran 38:45 the vision meaning dream of Prophet Abraham Ibrahim, Prophet Isaac Ishaq and Prophet Jacob Yaqub Israel and Quran 48:27 Prophet Muhammad’s vision meaning dream, Quran 17:60 l-ru'ya meaning “the vision” means the dream of Prophet Muhammad’s night journey and ascension to heaven in the same way as in Quran 37:105 l-ru'ya meaning “the vision” means the dream of Prophet Abraham sacrificing his son and in Quran 48:27 l-ru'ya means “the vision” meaning the dream of Prophet Muhammad worshipping at the Kabah and in Quran 12:5 ru'yaka meaning “your vision” means your dream had by Prophet Jacob Yaqub Israel and in Quran 12:43 ru'yaya means “my vision” meaning my dream and lilrru'ya means “of visions” meaning of dreams had by the King of Egypt and Quran 12:100 ru'yaya means “my dream” had by Prophet Jacob Yaqub Israel) which We (Allahshowed you (meaning showed to your soul while your body was sleeping in Makkah) except as a trial for (the faith of) mankind and (when We took your soul Prophet Muhammad on the night journey from the blessed Kabah in Mecca Arabia today Makkah Saudi Arabia to the blessed ruins in Zion which contain the ruins of the First and Second Jewish Temples of Allah in Jerusalem Al-Quds Palestine today Israel and Palestine in the Jewish Hebrew Bible Psalms 84:6 – 84:8 and made your soul ascend up into Heaven to see) the accursed tree (called the Zaqqum Zaqqoom which is the tree with the terrible food that wrongdoers shall eat in the hereafter and is mentioned) in the Quran. We (Allahwarn (people to do what is good and avoid what is evil) and make them afraid (of Allah by describing the home for evil doers in Hell Fire in the Hereafter) but it only increases them (some of the humans) in nothing but greater disobedience against Allah (and the commandment to do what is good and avoid what is evil. This understanding of Quran 17:1 and Quran 17:60 is confirmed in Quran 53:17 which describes dreaming during sleep and by Quran 6:60 and Quran 39:42 which show that Allah does not raise the physical human body to Himself or to heaven. Only the soul is raised by Allah to Himself or to heaven. The physical human body is designed for life and death on the earth. The soul is designed for life with Allah and in heaven during sleep and after death. On the Day of Resurrection in the hereafter on a new earth meaning a new land, a new ground, the soul will be given a spiritual body that can feel reward or punishment and every human will testify that death felt like nothing but a one hour sleep or a ten hour sleep or a sleep during part of a morning or part of an afternoon and no one will say that death felt like anything more than sleeping for part of one morning or part of one afternoon. Since death for every human will feel like nothing but sleeping for part of one day no one will know how long it really was between the time of their death and the time of the Day of Resurrection. See Quran 2:259, Quran 18:19, Quran 18:21, Quran 20:103, Quran 20:104, Quran 23:113, Quran 30:55, Quran 46:35 and Quran 79:46 here https://sites.google.com/site/islamandthequran/hadith-torture-in-the-grave  ).

1e. The honourable Quran.

Quran 56:76 Ayah 56:76 And this is a tremendous oath (from Allah) if you only knew (how great is the word of Allah, that - Continued in Quran 56:77).

Quran 56:77 Ayah 56:77 That this is an honourable Quran (an honourable recitation).

1fSatan Shaitan misguides by confusing humans about the true meaning of some ayahs in the Quran.

See Quran 2:78, 3:20, 3:75, 3:144, 4:157, 4:158, 5:75, 6:158, 7:157, 7:158, 21:34, 21:81, 21:82, 21:95, 27:82, 29:48, 32:23, 33:40, 37:102, 38:26, 39:30, 40:46, 42:52, 43:61, 54:1, 56:79, 62:2, 68:1, 69:40, 80:15, 81:19, 96:1, 96:4, 96:5 comments.

Quran 96:6 Ayah 96:6 (Do humans obey what Allah revealed to them in the written Torah Taurat scrolls and the written Gospel Injil books revealing the existence of only one Allah who created the Heavens, the Earth, and every creation and who sends messengers as reminders of Allah as promised by Prophet Moses Musa in Torah Deuteronomy 18:15, 18:18 – 18:22 which describes every messenger of Allah including Prophet Jesus Isa and Prophet Muhammad) No (some do not) because (some) humans are rebellious (by believing things about Allah that are not true. Why did Allah send a prophet after Jesus Isa? A prophet was sent after Jesus Isa to correct the errors in the worship of Allah. Some Jews incorrectly reduced the rank of Jesus Isa from a prophet to a teacher. Some Christians incorrectly worship Jesus Isa as an equal partner with Allah and other Christians incorrectly raised the rank of Jesus Isa even higher to be god. Many people in Mecca Makkah incorrectly worship stone statues as equal partners with Allah. However nothing that is created is Allah or equal to Allah or is in a partnership with Allah because Allah created every creation. Nothing that is a creation has the power to create anything unless Allah wills it. Allah has sent the Koran Quran as the reminder of Allah that was promised by Jesus Isa in the Gospel of John 14:16, 15:26 – 15:27, 16:7 – 16:15. Humans are rebellious by believing things about Allah that are not true).

Comment 1. Allah explains why Allah has made people in each religion to follow what Allah has given them in His Books.

Quran 5:48 Ayah 5:48 “... For each (community of Jews, Christians and Muslims) We (Allah) have appointed a divine law and a way (of religion). If Allah willed He (Allah) could have made you (the Jews, the Christians and the Muslims) one community. But He (Allah) tests you (the Jews, the Christians and the Muslims) by what He (Allah) has given you (in the Torah Taurat and the Gospel Injil and the Koran Quran to show who is best in behaviour). So strive for all that is good. To Allah you shall all return and He (Allah) shall then inform you (in the Hereafter) about (the correctness of) the religious matters in which you (the Jews, the Christians and the Muslims) argue among each other.

Comment 2. Quran 96:6 answers the question why did Allah bring Islam to the earth?

See Torah Deuteronomy 18:15, 18:18 – 18:22 and the Gospel of John 14:16, 15:26 – 15:27, 16:7 – 16:15 in Quran 7:157 comments here:

Quran 96:8 Ayah 96:8 But the return (in the hereafter) is to your Lord (Allah who is your creator).

Quran 96:9 Ayah 96:9 Have you (Prophet Muhammad) seen the person who forbids -

Quran 96:10 Ayah 96:10 A servant when they (their servant) pray (to continue to pray to Allah) -

Quran 96:11 Ayah 96:11 Is such a person (who forbids their servant from praying to Allah) guided (by Allah or misguided)?

Quran 96:12 Ayah 96:12 Or (is such a person who forbids a person from praying to Allah) calling (people) to righteousness (meaning good behaviour)?

Quran 96:13 Ayah 96:13 Or do you (Prophet Muhammad) see if such a person (who forbids a person from praying to Allah is also the same person who) rejects (the revelations of Allah) and turns away (from belief in the Allah who created them)?

Quran 96:14 Ayah 96:14 Does the human not know that Allah sees (what they do)?

Quran 96:15 Ayah 96:15 (Do humans obey what Allah has revealed to them?) No (so warn them Prophet Muhammad), if the human does not stop (forbidding their servant from praying to Allah) then We (Allah) shall drag that human by their forelock (the hair in the front of their head) –

Comment 1. The forelock.

Quran 11:56 Ayah 11:56 “I have put my trust in Allah (who is) my Lord and your Lord. There is not a living creature that He (Allah) does not grasp by its forelock (meaning, grasp by the hair that falls over your forehead, in other words, Allah has full control over everyone that Allah has created). My Lord is on a path that is straight (in truth and justice).”

Quran 96:16 Ayah 96:16 A lying, sinful forelock (meaning, a lying, sinful person).

Comment 1. See Quran 96:15 comments.

Quran 96:17 Ayah 96:17 Then (Prophet Muhammad) let that person (who forbids their servant from praying to Allah) call their supporters (the stone idol worshippers in Mecca Arabia today Makkah Saudi Arabia who are also against Allah).

Quran 96:18 Ayah 96:18 And We (Allah) shall call the angels of Hell Jahannam (to punish all of those humans who disobey Allah).

Quran 96:19 Ayah 96:19 (Do humans obey what Allah has revealed to them?) No. So (Prophet Muhammad) do not obey the human (but obey Allah). Prostrate your self (bow down) to and come near (to Allah who is your creator).

Hadith (Haadeeth, Haadiith, Haadith, Haadiths, Hadees, Hadeeth, Hadis, Hadiths, are the stories from humans about Prophet Muhammad and the early Muslims that show the sunnah meaning the examples of what Prophet Muhammad and the early Muslims said or did. Hadith that correctly adds to our understanding of Allah’s Quran is a blessing. Hadith that adds to the Quran something that is against what Allah has revealed in Allah’s Quran is a hadith from Satan Shaitan to test who believes Allah’s Quran and who believes something that is against what Allah has revealed in Allah’s Quran. This is the same test Allah made for the Christians in the Gospel Injil to test who believes the story from humans that Prophet Jesus Isa is Allah and who reject Satan Shaitan and believes what Allah revealed in the Gospel Injil where Prophet Jesus Isa always prayed to Allah like every prophet before him in the Gospel of Mark 1:35, Gospel of Matthew 11:25, Gospel of Luke 22:41 and Gospel of John 17:1 - 17:26. Prophet Jesus Isa said another messenger “the comforter” will come after him in the Gospel of John 14:16, 15:26 – 15:27, 16:7 – 16:15 just like every prophet before him had promised. Prophet Jesus Isa died a natural death and his soul was made visible and raised by Allah into heaven in the Gospel Injil like Prophet Elijah Ilyas who also died a natural death and his soul was also made visible and raised by Allah into heaven in the Torah Taurat. Prophet Jesus Isa does not know the hour of the Day of Resurrection because only Allah knows in the Gospel of Mark 13:32 and Gospel of Matthew 24:36. See Was Jesus Isa killed on the cross https://sites.google.com/site/islamandthequran/was-isa-killed-on-the-cross   Hadith stories come from humans and not from Allah meaning all hadith stories which contradict the Quran by teaching the opposite to what Allah teaches in the Books of Allah are false hadith stories which were invented by people who made a living telling stories after the death of Prophet Muhammad or told by people who were deceived to believe false stories. Beware of hadith stories in the Bukhari collection and Muslim collection and other collections of stories that teach the opposite to what Allah teaches in the Quran and remember that humans declared them to be Sahih meaning authentic, genuine, sound and not Allah. If hadith stories agree with the Quran then accept it. If hadith stories do not agree with the Quran then reject it. On the Day of Judgment Allah judges by the words in the protected Quran. On the Day of Judgment Allah does not judge by the words in unprotected human hadith stories. The Quran is the protected word of Allah including the words and actions of Prophet Muhammad which are described and protected by Allah in the Quran.See How to find hadith stories invented after the death of Prophet Muhammad  http://sites.google.com/site/islamandthequran/invented-hadith-stories   ).

Interpretations of the Quran (Al-Quran, Al Quran).

This is an interpretation of some of the meanings in the Quran.
This is not a perfect translation of the Quran because the Quran is in the Arabic language.
The Arabic language in the Quran must be understood as it was understood over 1400 years ago.
Allah guides who He wills to the correct understanding of the Quran.
In the English language the word Allah is God.
Allah (God) is the creator of the Jews, Christians, Muslims and everyone and everything that exists.

Islam and the Quran chapter (sura, suraa, suraah, surah, suraat, surat), chapters (suras, suraas, suraahs, surahs, suraats, surats), verse (ayaah, aya, ayah, ayaahs, ayas, ayahs), verses (ayaas, ayaat, ayas, ayat), (ayaats, ayats), analysis, annotation, clarification, comment, commentary, elucidation, examination, explanation, foot note, interpretation, investigation, note, observation, remark, study, understanding, analyses, annotations, clarifications, comments, commentaries, elucidations, examinations, explanations, foot notes, interpretations, investigations, notes, observations, remarks, studies, understandings of Islam and the Quran (The Coran, Al-Coran, Al Coran, The Koran, Al-Koran, Al Koran, The Quran, Al Quran, Al-Quran, The Qur'an, Al-Qur'an, Al Qur'an, The Qur’ān, Al-Qur’ān, Al Qur’ān).
