Surah : Ayah.

(Information in brackets is added to assist readers in the interpretation of the ayah).

Quran 73:0 Ayah 73:0 In the name of Allaah, The Most Kind, The Most Merciful.

Quran 73:1 Ayah 73:1 (Allaah said), You (Prophet Muhammad) who are cloaked (wrapped up) in clothing (sleeping in your bed).

Quran 73:4 Ayah 73:4 Or a little more than a half (of the night) and recite the Quran slowly and clearly.

Quran 73:5 Ayah 73:5 We (Allaah) shall send you a heavy word (which is a heavy responsibility for you to pass the Word of Allaah to all humans).

Quran 73:6 Ayah 73:6 The hours of the night are more effective because there is concurrence (of the genuine feeling in the heart and what is said with the tongue) and more suitable (is the night) for words (of praise, thanks, supplication and prayer) -

Quran 73:7 Ayah 73:7 Because in the day you are busy with your duties.

Quran 73:8 Ayah 73:8 So remember the name of your Lord (Allaah) and sincerely devote your self to Him (Allaah).

Quran 73:9 Ayah 73:9 (Allaah is the) Lord of the East and the West (Lord of all things that rise and set in the sky). There is no Allaah but Him (Allaah) so choose Him (Allaah) alone to be your protector.

Quran 73:10 Ayah 73:10 And have patience with what they (the stone idol worshippers of Mecca (Makkah), Arabia today Saudi Arabia) say and when you leave them be polite (to them).

Quran 73:11 Ayah 73:11 Leave Me (Allaah) to deal with those who have comfort (in their life) and who reject (Allaah’s message), they are delayed for a period of time (before they receive Allaah’s judgement) -

Quran 73:12 Ayah 73:12 With Us (Allaah) are chains and a burning fire (for them as punishment in the hereafter) –

(Comment 1. Quran 17:60 “....We (Allaah) warn (people) and make them afraid but it only increases them in nothing but greater disobedience against Allaah.

Quran 73:13 Ayah 73:13 And food that chokes (those in Hell who eat it) and a painful punishment.

(Comment 1. Quran 17:60 “....We (Allaah) warn (people) and make them afraid but it only increases them in nothing but greater disobedience against Allaah.

Quran 73:14 Ayah 73:14 On the (Last) Day when the earth and the mountains shall shake and they (break into small pieces and) become a heap of dust.

(Comment 1. Quran 70:9 And the (strong, firm) mountains shall be (flattened as easily as if they were) like (soft) wool.

Quran 73:15 Ayah 73:15 We (Allaah) have sent to you (the stone idol worshippers of Mecca (Makkah)) a messenger (Prophet Muhammad) as a witness (to testify to the truth of Allaah) to you, just like the messenger (Prophet Moses (Musa) whom) We (Allaah) sent to Pharaoh (Firon).

(Comment 1. Torah Deuteronomy 18:15 A prophet shall the Lord, your Allaah raise up to you (the children of Israel), from among you, of your brethren (Prophet Isaac (Ishaq), Prophet Ishmael (Ismail) and their descendants through their father Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim)), like (you did) to me (Prophet Moses (Musa)), to him you shall (also) heed (take notice, listen to, pay attention).

Torah Deuteronomy 18:20 But the Prophet that shall speak a word presumptuously in My name (in the name of Allaah), which I (Allaah) have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, that same prophet shall die.

(Comment 2. Allaah in the Gospel (Injil) confirms that Prophet Jesus (Isa) did not die on the cross by showing that he was later seen alive.

Allaah also confirms in the Quran that Prophet Jesus (Isa) did not die on the cross.

Allaah reveals in the Torah (Taurat) that anyone falsely claiming to be a messenger from Allaah shall immediately die.

Both Prophet Jesus (Isa) and Prophet Muhammad claimed to be messengers from Allaah and because they did not immediately die that is proof from the Torah (Taurat) that they were both real messengers from Allaah.

No one can remove another person’s sin.

Each person is responsible for their own sin.

Allaah would not remove sin by killing His (Allaah’s) messenger.

Allaah helps his messengers so how did Allaah help Jesus (Eesa, Eesaa, Eesaah, Eesah, Eessa, Eessaa, Eessaah, Eessah, Esa, Esaa, Esah, Esaah, Essa, Essaa, Essaah, Essah, Isa, Isâ, Isaa, Isah, Isaah, Issa, Issâ, Issah, Issaa, Issaah, Iesa, Iesaa, Iesah, Iessa, Iessaa, Iesus, Yasu, Yasuu, Yeshu, Yeshua, Yeshuaa, Jesus Christ, Jesus of Nazareth, Messiah Jesus, Jesus the Messiah)?

Did Jesus (Eesa, Eesaa, Eesaah, Eesah, Eessa, Eessaa, Eessaah, Eessah, Esa, Esaa, Esah, Esaah, Essa, Essaa, Essaah, Essah, Isa, Isâ, Isaa, Isah, Isaah, Issa, Issâ, Issah, Issaa, Issaah, Iesa, Iesaa, Iesah, Iessa, Iessaa, Iesus, Yasu, Yasuu, Yeshu, Yeshua, Yeshuaa, Jesus Christ, Jesus of Nazareth, Messiah Jesus, Jesus the Messiah) die on the cross?

(Comment 3. Today anyone who claims to be a prophet does not need to be killed as proof that they are a false prophet because Allaah has already revealed that Prophet Muhammad was the last prophet.

Quran 33:40 Ayah 33:40 Prophet Muhammad is not the father of any man among you, but he is the messenger of Allaah and the Seal (the last) of the Prophets and Allaah is aware of all things.

(Note 1. Quran 33:40 means that anyone who claims to be a prophet is not telling the truth, so their death is not required as proof from Allaah that they are a false prophet.

(Note 2. Mental illness sometimes causes people to believe that they are a prophet however medicines are available today that can remove such delusions.

(Comment 4. Quran 65:11 Ayah 65:11 (Allaah sent) a messenger (Prophet Muhammad) reciting to you the clear revelations of Allaah so that He (Allaah) may bring from the darkness (of wrong belief) to the light (of correct belief) those who believe (in Allaah) and do good deeds. And whoever believes in Allaah and does what is good, He (Allaah) shall bring them into gardens (of Paradise) under which rivers flow, to live in there forever. Allaah has made good provision for them.

Quran 5:14 Ayah 5:14 And from those who call themselves Christians, We (Allaah) took their covenant (agreement as We (Allaah) did with the Jews (the children of Israel)) but they (also) have abandoned a good part of the message that was revealed to them. So We (Allaah) planted amongst them (the Jews and the Christians) hostility and dislike (and many sects each one accusing the other of disbelief in Allaah) till the Day of Resurrection and Allaah shall tell them (on the Day of Resurrection and Judgement) all the things that they (the Jews and the Christians) used to do (against Allaah and Allaah’s messengers).

Quran 5:15 Ayah 5:15 People of the Scripture (the Jews and the Christians), now Our (Allaah’s) messenger (Prophet Muhammad) has come to you, revealing much of that which you used to hide in the Scripture and much that you used to ignore. Now has come to you from Allaah a light (Prophet Muhammad) and a clear Book (the Quran).

Quran 5:16 Ayah 5:16 With it (the Quran) Allaah guides those who follow Allaah’s pleasure in the ways of peace (paths of safety) and by His (Allaah’s) will He (Allaah) guides them out of the darkness (of wrong belief) and into the light (of correct belief) and to the straight path (the right path that pleases Allaah).

Quran 7:157 Ayah 7:157 Those who follow the messenger, the Ummi (Ummiyy, Ummy, the person who is not from among the People of the Book, Gentile meaning the person who is not from the children of Israel, Unlettered meaning the person who has no formal education. Meaning, the) Prophet (Prophet Muhammad who was among the Arabs in Mecca (Makkah), Arabia today Saudi Arabia who had never before read or recited a scripture) and (who is the prophet) whom they find mentioned in the Torah ((Taurat) Deuteronomy 18:15 – 18:22) and the Gospel ((Injil) Gospel of John 14:16, 15:26, 16:7 – 16:15 that is)) with them (the Jews and the Christians) and who (is the prophet that) enjoins on them (the Arabs in Mecca (Makkah)) what is good and forbids for them what is evil and (who is the prophet that) relieves them of their burden (of the difficult stone idol religious practices) and the chains that were on them (such as sacrificing new born babies to the stone idol gods by burying female babies while they were still alive). Those who believe in him (Prophet Muhammad) and honour him and help him and follow the light which is sent down with him, they are the successful (in the Hereafter).

(Note 1. Prophet Moses (Musa) said a messenger shall come after him.

Prophet Jesus (Isa) said a messenger shall come after him.

Like every prophet of Allaah, Prophet Jesus (Isa) said another messenger would come after him in the Gospel of John (Injil of John) 14:16, 15:26, 16:7 – 16:15.

Like Prophet Elijah (Elias) who was raised into heaven in the Torah (Taurat) so too was Prophet Jesus (Isa) raised into heaven in the Gospel (Injil).

The meaning of the son of Allaah in the Torah (Taurat), Gospel (Injil) and the Quran.

(Comment 5. The Quran, the Torah and the Gospel are all from Allaah.

Allaah protects His Quran, His Torah (Tawrah, Tawrat, Taurat, Tavrat) and His Gospel (Injil, Injeel, Enjil, Enjeel, Al-Enjeel).
Allaah protects His word.
No one has the power to change the word of Allaah.
If humans could change the word of Allaah in the Torah (Taurat) or the Gospel (Injil) or the Quran then no revelation could be trusted.

Quran 73:16 Ayah 73:16 But Pharaoh (Firon) disobeyed the messenger (Prophet Moses (Musa)), so We (Allaah) seized him with a severe punishment.

Quran 73:17 Ayah 73:17 If you disbelieve (in Allaah) how shall you protect your self on the Day (of Resurrection) that would make a child’s (young and healthy) hair turn white (from the terror of that Day)?

Quran 73:18 Ayah 73:18 The heaven shall split apart (on the Last Day of the Earth) and His (Allaah’s) promise shall be fulfilled.

Quran 73:19 Ayah 73:19 This (Quran) is a Reminder (from Allaah) so let whoever wishes, choose a (righteous) way to his Lord (Allaah).

Quran 73:20 Ayah 73:20 Your Lord (Allaah) knows that you (Prophet Muhammad) stand up (in prayer) almost two thirds of the night or half of it or a third of it with a group of those who are with you. Allaah determines (how much of) the night and the day (you spend in worship) and He (Allaah) knows that you (humans) shall not be able to continue (such long periods of devotion to Allaah) so He (Allaah) has turned to you in forgiveness. So instead (of praying for long periods in the night you can now) recite what is easy (for you to recite) of the Quran. He (Allaah) knows that among you are those who are ill and others who travel in the land seeking for them selves the bounty of Allaah and others who are fighting for the cause of Allaah. So recite what is easy from it (the Quran) and establish prayer and give the regular tax to help the needy and loan to Allaah (your wealth and your life’s purpose and your time). Whatever good you do you shall find that it is with Allaah in the form of a better and a greater reward. Ask for the forgiveness of Allaah. Allaah is forgiving and merciful.
