Surah : Ayah.
(Information in brackets is added to assist readers in the interpretation of the verse).

Quran 70:0 Ayah 70:0
In the name of Allah, The Most Kind, The Most Merciful.

Quran 70:1 Ayah 70:1 A question was asked concerning the punishment that shall come -

Quran 70:2 Ayah 70:2 To those who do not believe (in Allah who is their creator, such as the stone idol worshippers in Mecca Arabia today Makkah Saudi Arabia), (a punishment) which no one can prevent.

Quran 70:3 Ayah 70:3 (A punishment) from Allah, Lord of the ascending stairways (that is the path by which) -

Quran 70:4 Ayah 70:4 The angels and the Spirit (the human soul) ascend (go up) to Him (Allah) in a day (of Judgement) the measure of which (the Day of Judgement) is (like) fifty thousand years (for humans meaning that Allah shall instantly judge every creation on the Day of Judgement which is a task that would take humans fifty thousand years to complete if humans were the judge of the creation).

Note 1. Explain the meaning of 50,000 years?

Explain the meaning of fifty thousand years?

Quran 70:1 Ayah 70:1 A question was asked concerning the punishment (from Allah) that shall come -

Quran 70:3 Ayah 70:3 (A punishment) from Allah, (who is the) Lord of the ascending stairways (that is the path by which)

Comment 1. One day for Allah is how long in human time?

The time for humans on the Earth compared to one day for Allah.

Quran 22:47 Ayah 22:47 And they (the stone idol worshippers in Makkah, Arabia) ask you to hurry the punishment (from Allah). Allah does not fail His (Allah’s) promise. A Day with your Lord (Allah) is (like) a thousand years by your (human) measurement (meaning that in the existence of Allah a thousand years for humans are like one day for Allah or a thousand years for humans is like a few hours in a human night for Allah or a thousand years for humans is like a few minutes in a human day for Allah or a thousand years for humans is like one human second for Allah or a thousand years for humans is like a millionth of a human second for Allah or a thousand years for humans is like a billionth of a human second for Allah because time does not apply to Allah. Allah created time. Time only applies to the creation. Allah is not a creation. Allah is the creator. Time does not apply to Allah because Allah knows the past and present and future. Time only applies to creations that are born and die. Time does not apply to the creator who was never born and will never die).

Quran 32:5 Ayah 32:5 All matters from heaven to earth are determined by Allah. All things will ascend (return) to Him (Allah) in the end (on the day of Resurrection and Judgement). A day (for Allah) is (like) one thousand years by your (human) measurement (meaning that in the existence of Allah a thousand years for humans are like one day for Allah or a thousand years for humans is like a few hours in a human night for Allah or a thousand years for humans is like a few minutes in a human day for Allah or a thousand years for humans is like one human second for Allah or a thousand years for humans is like a millionth of a human second for Allah or a thousand years for humans is like a billionth of a human second for Allah because time does not apply to Allah. Allah created time. Time only applies to the creation. Allah is not a creation. Allah is the creator. Time does not apply to Allah because Allah knows the past and present and future. Time only applies to creations that are born and die. Time does not apply to the creator who was never born and will never die).

Note 1. Time does not apply to Allah so one day for Allah is like 1000 years for humans, like 1 million years for humans, like 1 billion years for humans because Allah knows the past and present and future. Time is a creation. Allah is not a creation. Allah is the creator therefore time does not apply to Allah.

Comment 2. Allah created the heavens and the earth in six Days (six periods of time).

Quran 25:59 Ayah 25:59 He (Allah) created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them in six Days and then established Himself (Allah) on the Throne (of authority over the creation). (Allah is) the Most Merciful. Ask a person who is well informed (such as Prophet Muhammad) concerning Him (Allah).

Quran 32:4 Ayah 32:4 Allah created the heavens and the earth and what is between them in six Days (six periods of time). Then He (Allah) established himself above the Throne (meaning, Allah established himself as the supreme authority over His creation). You do not have a protecting friend or intercessor except for Him (Allah). Shall you not remember (to keep your duty to Allah, your creator)?

Note 1. Time does not apply to Allah.

Time does not apply to Allah so one day for Allah is like 1000 years for humans, like 1 million years for humans, like 1 billion years for humans because Allah knows the past and present and future. Time is a creation. Allah is not a creation. Allah is the creator therefore time does not apply to Allah. Time does not apply to Allah because Allah knows the past and present and future.

Note 2. Torah Taurat of Moses Musa.

Jewish Hebrew Bible Genesis 2:1 And the heaven and the earth were finished, and all the host (living things) of them (the heavens and the Earth).

Jewish Hebrew Bible Genesis 2:2 And on the seventh day Allah finished His work which He had made (in six days); and He rested on the seventh day (Allah has no need to rest so this means that Allah completed all His creation in 6 days and commanded humans to remember Allah when humans rest on the seventh day as a remembrance of Allah) from all His (Allah’s) work which He (Allah) had made.

Comment 3. Psalms of David Dawud.

Jewish Hebrew Bible Psalms 90:4 For a thousand years in Your (Allah’s) sight (existence) are but as yesterday when it is past (meaning is like yesterday past), and as a watch in the night (meaning like a short period during the night watch).

Note 1. Psalms 90:4 A thousand years mean nothing to You (Allah), they are only a day gone by or a few hours in the night.

Note 2. Psalms 90:4 Indeed, in Your (Allah’s) sight (existence) a thousand years are like a single day, like yesterday already past, like an hour in the night.

Note 3. Allah exists outside of time because Allah created time.

Allah exists outside of time because Allah knows the past and present and future.

Time is a creation whereas Allah is the creator.

Time affects humans.

Time does not affect Allah.

Comment 4. How to correctly understand the Torah Gospel and Quran.

Allah can only be correctly understood in the Books of Allah such as the Torah, Gospel and Quran by interpreting the verses of Allah so that they agree with the nature of Allah.

Example 1. In Jewish Hebrew Bible Genesis 2:2 we know that Allah has no need for rest so this verse can only be correctly understood when rest is applied to humans and for Allah the word rest must mean completed when applied to the creator.

Example 2. In Jewish Hebrew Bible Psalms 90:4 we know that Allah is not a body with eyes so the word sight must be correctly understood in relation to Allah to mean existence.

Psalms 90:4 Indeed, in Your (Allah’s) sight (existence) a thousand years are like a single day, like yesterday already past, like an hour in the night (meaning like a short period during the night watch).

Example 3. In Quran 32:4 we know that Allah is not a body who sits on a throne so the word throne must be correctly understood in relation to Allah.

Example 4. How does Allah explain to creations who experience time and existence as the same thing that Allah exists without time?

In Quran 32:5 we know that time does not apply to Allah because time is a creation so this verse can only be correctly understood when time is applied to creations in a way that shows that time does not apply to Allah.

Example 5. How does Allah explain that Allah does not need time to judge creations?

Quran 70:4 Ayah 70:4 The angels and the Spirit (the human soul) ascend (go up) to Him (Allah) in a day (of Judgement) the measure of which (the Day of Judgement) is (like) fifty thousand years (for humans meaning that Allah shall instantly judge every creation on the Day of Judgement which is a task that would take humans fifty thousand years to complete if humans were the judge of the creation).

Example 6. What does 1,000 years mean?

A day for Allah is compared with 1,000 years for humans.

1,000 years means a long time for humans compared to time for Allah because time which is a creation does not apply to Allah.

The relationship between a day and 1,000 years is a reminder that humans are mortal but Allah is eternal because time does not apply to Allah..

Example 7. What does 50,000 years mean?

A day for Allah is compared with 50,000 years for humans.

50,000 years means a long time for humans compared to time for Allah because time which is a creation does not apply to Allah.

The relationship between a day and 50,000 years is a reminder that humans are mortal but Allah is eternal because time does not apply to Allah..

The Observable Universe is 93 billion light years across.

Today the observable Universe is 93 billion light years across and expanding  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5NU2t5zlxQQ
How do we know that the Universe is expanding? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=myjaVI7_6Is
Traveling at the speed of light it would take more than 93 billion years to travel across the observable 93 billion light years Universe because space is expanding http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MoTNGmlOO2g

How many Galaxies are in the Universe?

There are an estimated 500 billion galaxies in the Universe http://www.dailygalaxy.com/my_weblog/2013/06/500-billion-a-universe-of-galaxies-some-older-than-milky-way.html
Each galaxy contains hundreds of billions of stars and hundreds of billions of planets.

Diagram of how our Milky Way Galaxy would look like from a distance of 50,000 light years away.
Our Milky Way Galaxy is 100,000 light years across.
We live inside this Galaxy of stars.
Our Galaxy is one of 500 billion galaxies in the observable Universe.
Diagram thanks to Richard Powell at Atlas of the Universe.

Our Milky Way Galaxy is a barred spiral galaxy that contains between 200 and 400 billion stars.
At the speed of light it would take 100,000 years to travel across the 100,000 light year diameter of our Milky Way Galaxy.
Our Solar System containing the Sun, the Earth, the Moon, the seven planets and Pluto is located within the disk of the Milky Way, about 27,000 light-years away from the Galactic Center, on the inner edge of a spiral-shaped concentration of gas and dust called the Orion Arm.
The stars in the inner 10,000 light-years of our Milky Way Galaxy form a bulge and one or more bars that radiate from the bulge.
The very center of our Milky Way Galaxy is marked by an intense radio source named Sagittarius A which is likely to be a super massive black hole.
Stars and gases at a wide range of distances from the Galactic centre of our Milky Way Galaxy orbit at approximately 220 kilometers per second and this requires the existence of more mass than is visible. Scientists have called this unseen mass Dark Matter.
Dark Matter provides unseen mass and therefore the gravity that maintains the structure of every galaxy in the Universe.
The oldest known star in our Milky Way Galaxy is at least 13.6 billion years old and formed shortly after the Big Bang (inflation) when the Universe came into existence 13.8 billion years ago.
The Sun is the star of our solar system.
Our Solar System containing the Sun, the Earth, the Moon, the seven planets and Pluto were formed 4.6 billion years ago.
The diameter of our Solar System is 0.0025 light-years.
At the speed of light it would take 22 hours from Earth to reach the boundary called the Termination Shock zone where the Solar wind from the Sun is slower than the speed of sound and interstellar space (the space between the stars) begins.

Comment 5. Allah creates evolution over periods of time.

Allah created creation by “shaping you and perfecting your shapes” which humans call the process of evolution.

Quran 64:3 Ayah 64:3 He (Allah) created the heavens and the earth with truth (for a true purpose) and He (Allah) shaped you and perfected your shapes and to Him (Allah) is the destination.

Note 1. Allah creates creation through a process of evolution.

In the sight of Allah this creation is instant but in the eyes of humans this process is over minutes, hours, years, millions of years and billions of years.

Note 2. The first life on earth was microscopic life between 2.7 billion to 3.5 billion years ago (at that time there were no humans and no animals).

Quran 70:5 Ayah 70:5 So (Prophet Muhammad) be patient by being gracious in (your) patience (to the people around you).

Quran 70:6 Ayah 70:6 They (the stone idol worshippers in Makkah) think it (that Day of punishment) is far away.

Quran 70:7 Ayah 70:7 But We (Allah) see that it (that Day of punishment) is near.

Quran 70:8 Ayah 70:8 On the (Last) Day when the sky shall be (red hot) like (the colour of) molten (red hot) metal.

Quran 70:9 Ayah 70:9 And the (strong, firm) mountains shall be (flattened as easily as if they were) like (soft) wool.

Quran 70:10 Ayah 70:10 And no friend (or relative) shall ask about their friend (or relative because every person shall only be concerned with Allah’s Judgement of them) -

Quran 70:11 Ayah 70:11 Even though they (the friends and relatives) shall be able to see each other (they shall not speak to each other because of their great fear on that Day of Judgement). The wrong doer shall wish they could give their son (as an exchange so as to escape) from the punishment.

Comment 1. On the Day of Judgement no person can be exchanged to take another person’s punishment.

Quran 70:30 Ayah 70:30 Except with their wives and those who are legally theirs (of their servants), then it (not guarding your private parts) is not a sin.

Comment 1. Servants and wives may attend to the needs of the elderly, the disabled, the sick, the husband and those to whom they are contracted to serve, without any question of sin involved when they are looking after the care, needs and health of people.

For example a person who is unable to look after them self can be bathed and dressed by a servant and there is no sin in that.

Quran 23:5 Ayah 23:5 And those who guard their private parts -

Quran 23:6 Ayah 23:6 Except with their wives and those who are legally theirs (of their servants), then it (not guarding your private parts) is not a sin.

Comment 2. Sex with a slave before marriage is not allowed.

Some who do not like what Allah has ruled in the Quran search for hadith stories from humans so that they can use the word of humans to over rule the word of Allah.

Sexual relations with a servant first require that you marry that servant but only if that servant is willing to marry.

Quran 4:25 Ayah 4:25 And if you do not have the means (not wealthy enough) to marry free believing women then you may marry believing girls from among those (slave girls) whom your right hands possess (meaning whom you own). Allah has full knowledge about your faith and you are equal to one another as far as religion is concerned. You shall obtain permission from their guardians before you marry them and give them (the girl) their bridal money according to what is reasonable. The (slave girl) should be chaste (and not) commit unlawful intercourse randomly (prostitution) nor have secret lovers. After marriage if she commits illegal sexual intercourse (fahishah illegal sexual intercourse after marriage, adultery) then her punishment is half of that of a free (married) women (meaning a punishment of fifty lashes). This (rule from Allah) is for those who are afraid of committing sin (afraid they might commit illegal sexual intercourse if they do not marry someone) but it is better for you to be patient (and marry a free woman or a righteous slave). Allah is always ready to forgive and most merciful (to those who sincerely repent for their sins).

It is not true that a Muslim can have sexual relations with their slave because Allah has revealed in Quran 4:25 … This (rule from Allah) is for those who are afraid of committing sin (afraid they might commit illegal sexual intercourse if they do not marry someone).

Quran 4:25 prohibits sexual relations with anyone including with your slave unless you are married to them.

To marry a slave the slave must agree to the marriage because it is revealed in Quran 4:25 … you (and your slave) are equal to one another as far as religion is concerned.

That means that a slave possesses freedom to accept or reject marriage.

Allah has revealed in Quran 4:25 … it is better for you to be patient. That is because a marriage just to fulfill your sexual desire can result in a slave accepting marriage because of their position of weakness and if that happens and they have not entered the marriage except because of their position of weakness it is possible that they might not be faithful in such a marriage.

Allah recognizes the power of a master over their slave and Allah makes provision that adultery that involved marriage to a slave shall receive half the punishment given to a free married person who commits adultery.

That is why Allah has revealed in Quran 4:25 … it is better for you to be patient (and marry a free woman or a righteous slave).

2a. Allah has not ordered stoning to death for adultery in the Quran.

Some who do not like what Allah has ruled in the Quran search for hadith stories from humans so that they can use the word of humans to over rule the word of Allah.

Quran 4:25 show that Allah has not commanded stoning to death for adultery for free married persons who commit adultery.

If Allah really commanded stoning to death for adultery for free married persons then Allah would have revealed that the punishment for a married slave who committed adultery to be 100 lashes because 100 lashes is a great mercy compared to stoning to death.

The only reason Allah has commanded 50 lashes for a married slave who commits adultery is because this is half the punishment of a free married person who commits adultery.

See 1: Allah removed stoning to death for adultery.

The error of stoning to death for adultery.

How Allah removed stoning to death for adultery in the Torah Taurat, Gospel Injil and Koran Quran.

How Allah removed stoning to death in the Quran three times.

In the Quran the law for illegal sexual intercourse for unmarried Muslims is Quran 4:15 – 4:18.

In the Quran the law for adultery by married Muslims is Quran 4:25 and 24:1 – 24:2.

Forgiveness for all sins is confirmed in Quran 3:135  3:136, 4:17 – 4:18, 4:110, 25:68 – 25:71.

2b. Today we are born in the first generation where Allah has made slavery illegal everywhere on the earth.

All the countries of the world have agreed at the United Nations with Allah’s will.

Today every human is a willing or unwilling slave to Allah.

Today no human can legally be a slave to another human.

Allah decreed that righteousness is the freeing of humans from slavery.

Righteousness is the removal of evil.

Today the world has freed humankind from the evils of slavery by making slavery illegal worldwide as Allah willed.

United Nations Article 4 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights bans slavery worldwide.
Saudi Arabia officially abolished slavery in 1962 1382 AH.

Quran 90:12 Ayah 90:12 And what can explain to you what is (the striving through to) the difficult high path (of righteousness)?

Quran 90:13 Ayah 90:13 It is the freeing of a slave. (That is difficult for you to do but it is pleasing to Allah Allah Allah if you do it).

Quran 70:34 Ayah 70:34 And those who maintain their prayers (to Allah).

Quran 70:35 Ayah 70:35 They shall be in gardens (of Paradise Jannah), honoured (for the good deeds which they did in their first life).

Quran 70:36 Ayah 70:36 So what is the matter with those who disbelieve that they hurry from you (Prophet Muhammad) -

1a. How does Allah swear?

When Prophet Muhammad signed his name as the messenger of Allah the stone idol worshippers refused to accept that signature on the peace agreement between the Muslims and the stone idol worshippers because they did not believe he was the messenger of Allah. So with his own hand Prophet Muhammad removed the words "the messenger of Allah."
Allah swears by Allah’s name in the Torah Taurat because the Children of Israel believe in Allah.
Allah swears to the truth by what humans can see of Allah’s creation in the Quran because the stone idol worshippers only believe in what they can see.
In later revelations Allah swears in the Quran by things that humans cannot see.
In later revelations Allah swears in the Quran by his name.

Quran 56:75 Ayah 56:75 I (Allah, whom your eyes cannot see) swear by the setting of the stars (which your eyes can see).

Quran 56:76 Ayah 56:76 And this is a tremendous oath (from Allah) if you only knew (how great is the word of Allah).

Quran 69:38 Ayah 69:38 So I (Allah) swear by what you (humans and jinnsee.

Quran 69:39 Ayah 69:39 And by what you (humans and jinndo not see.

Quran 70:41 Ayah 70:41 To replace them with (other people who are) better than them and We (Allah) can never be out done (by the capabilities of the humans whom Allah has created).

Quran 70:42 Ayah 70:42 So (Prophet Muhammad) leave them to their useless conversations (where they speak as if they know something about Allah) and amusements (in their ridicule and mockery of Allah’s revelations) until they meet their Day (of Resurrection) which they are promised.

1a. The best behaviour is patience and goodness.

Quran 3:185 Ayah 3:185 Everyone shall die. On the Day of Judgment you shall be judged (for what you did in your life). Whoever avoids evil and enters Paradise Jannah is indeed among the successful. The life of this world is only a deception of enjoyment. (Everlasting enjoyment shall come in Paradise Jannah if you pass the test based on how you live your life today).

Quran 25:63 Ayah 25:63 The (faithful) servants of the Most Merciful (Allah) are those who walk on the earth modestly and when the ignorant ones (the stone idol worshippers in Makkah) speak to them (with bad words, harsh words), they reply (with a gentle word) “peace” (and with words that are without evil or fault).

Quran 25:72 Ayah 25:72 And they (the righteous) are those who do not bear witness to what is false, and when they (the righteous) pass near bad speech, they ignore it and pass by in a dignified manner(without using bad words).

Quran 25:75 Ayah 25:75 Those (are the righteous people that) shall be rewarded with a dwelling (in Paradise Jannah) for which they have been patient. There (in Paradise Jannah) they shall be met with greetings and peace.

Quran 41:34 Ayah 41:34 The good deed and the evil deed are not the same (meaning they are not both correct). Repel (evilwith a better (deed, for example repel anger with patience and forgiveness), then the person with whom you had hostility (hate and bad feelings) shall become like a close friend.

Quran 41:35 Ayah 41:35 And no one shall be granted such goodness except those who are patient and who possess a great portion of goodness (within themselves).

Quran 50:39 Ayah 50:39 (Prophet Muhammad) be patient with whatever they (the stone idol worshippers in Makkah) say and exalt (Allah) by praising your Lord (Allah) before sunrise (the Fajr prayer) and before sunset (the Zuhr and Asr prayers).

Quran 70:43 Ayah 70:43 The Day (of Resurrection) when they shall come out of their graves in a hurry as if they are racing to a goal.

Quran 70:44 Ayah 70:44 (In the Hereafter) their eyes shall be humbled and they shall be covered in humiliation. That is the Day that they (who disbelieve in Allah, the stone idol worshippers in Makkah) are promised.

(Comment 1. Quran 68:42 Ayah 68:42 The Day (of Resurrection) when their shin shall be laid bare (their true disbelief shall be exposed) and they shall be called to prostrate (to Allah), but they shall not be able to do it (because it shall be too late to submit to Allah once they have died as disbelievers because they shall be resurrected as disbelievers. The Shin is the bone in the front of the leg between the knee and the ankle that shall be a witness against those who did not prostate in worship to Allah).

Quran 68:43 Ayah 68:43 (In the Hereafter) their eyes shall be humbled and they shall be covered in humiliation because (during their life) they used to be invited to prostate (to Allah) when they were able (to choose to do it or choose not to do it).

Hadith (Haadeeth, Haadiith, Haadith, Haadiths, Hadees, Hadeeth, Hadis, Hadiths, are the stories from humans about Prophet Muhammad and the early Muslims that show the sunnah meaning the examples of what Prophet Muhammad and the early Muslims said or did. Hadith that correctly adds to our understanding of Allah’s Quran is a blessing. Hadith that adds to the Quran something that is against what Allah has revealed in Allah’s Quran is a hadith from Satan Shaitan to test who believes Allah’s Quran and who believes something that is against what Allah has revealed in Allah’s Quran. This is the same test Allah made for the Christians in the Gospel Injil to test who believes the hadith story from humans that Prophet Jesus Isa is Allah and who reject Satan Shaitan and only believes what Allah revealed in the Gospel Injil where Prophet Jesus Isa always prayed to Allah like every prophet before him in the Gospel of Luke 22:41 and believe Prophet Jesus Isa said another messenger the comforter will come after him just like every prophet before him had promised in the Gospel of John 14:16, 15:26 – 15:27, 16:7 – 16:15. Prophet Jesus Isa was raised by Allah into heaven in the Gospel Injil like Prophet Elijah Ilyas was raised by Allah into heaven in the Torah Taurat. Prophet Jesus Isa does not know the time of the hour of the end of the earth because only Allah knows in the Gospel of Mark 13:32 and Gospel of Matthew 24:36. If hadith stories agree with the Quran then accept it. If hadith stories do not agree with the Quran then reject it. On the Day of Judgment Allah judges by the words in the protected Quran. On the Day of Judgment Allah does not judge by the words in unprotected human hadith stories. The Quran is the protected word of Allah including the protected words of Prophet Muhammad).

Interpretations of the Quran (Al-Quran, Al Quran).

This is an interpretation of some of the meanings in the Quran.

Allah guides who He wills to the correct understanding of the Quran.
In the English language the word Allah is God.
Allah (God) is the creator of the Jews, Christians, Muslims and everyone and everything that exists.
