Hadith (stories from humans about Prophet Muhammad and the early Muslims) that show the sunnah (the examples of what Prophet Muhammad and the early Muslims said or did). Hadith that correctly adds to our understanding of Allaah’s Quran is a blessing. Hadith that adds to the Quran something that is against what Allaah has revealed in Allaah’s Quran is a hadith from Satan (Shaitan) to test who believes Allaah’s Quran and who believes something that is against what Allaah has revealed in Allaah’s Quran. This is the same test Allaah made for the Christians in the Gospel (Injil) to test who believed the hadith (story from humans) that Prophet Jesus (Isa) was Allaah and who reject Satan (Shaitan) and only believe what Allaah revealed in the Gospel (Injil) where Prophet Jesus (Isa) always prayed to Allaah like every prophet before him had done and never claimed he was Allaah and said another messenger (“the comforter” in the Gospel of John (Injil of John) 14:16, 15:26, 16:7 – 16:15) would come after him like every prophet before him had promised. Like Prophet Elijah (Elias) who was raised by Allaah into heaven in the Torah (Taurat) so also was Prophet Jesus (Isa) raised by Allaah into heaven in the Gospel (Injil).
