Hagar (Hajar) was given by Sarah to her husband as a second wife to make a child because Sarah was past child bearing age. Before the birth of his son Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) his name was changed from Prophet Abram to Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim), the first son from Prophet Abraham’s (Ibrahim’s) wife Sarah was Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) which was a surprising miracle birth from Allah for her at old age. Prophet Ishmael (Ismail) and Prophet Isaac (Ishaq) are brothers with the same father but different mothers. After Sarah died Prophet Abraham’s new wife was Keturah).

This is an interpretation of some of the meanings in the Quran. 
This is not a perfect translation of the Quran because the Quran is in the Arabic language.

Allah guides who He wills to the correct understanding of the Quran.
