I am an assistant professor with broad interests in Computational Neuroscience, which spans from neural signal processing to mathematical modeling of brain structures and functions. I was trained in Mathematics and Computer Science and obtained a PhD degree in Computer Science from the Indian Statistical Institute in Calcutta in 2004 on a thesis defended in September 2003. My topic was uncertainty management in complex systems with fuzzy techniques. In 2005 I went to USA as a Fulbright Fellow and switched over to Computational Neuroscience. I worked in Chennai, France and again in USA before joining the current position in May 2009.
