Family access is used for many purposes related to a student’s school data. In the case of academic performance it has a highly useful function to allow parents to see how their student is performing in every class period. Parents have access to view teacher grade books to check on class performance by seeing all the individual course grades for assignments, tests and anything else graded. How current a grade in a particular may be is subject to the last time a teacher has updated their grades online. This will vary by teacher. Teachers are required to post grade updates eight times per year at high school, in alignment with semester reporting dates. More frequent updates might be made at the professional discretion of the teacher and may depend on the nature of the curriculum. That means you may see more frequent updates in some of your student's classes than in others. If parents have questions about grades they have easy access to all teacher email through the same source as where they find grades.
Other helpful data in addition to class grades include: attendance, class schedules, grade history and standardized test scores.
If you forgot your password, please click on “forgot your password” and it will be emailed to you.
Important: Please make sure that your e-mail address in Family Access is correct. Besides being used to e-mail your password if you forget, every fall those e-mails are uploaded into school and District E-News lists. It's one channel the District will use to contact parents in an emergency and a way teachers are able to get information to correspond with parents about their student. You can update your e-mail address once you login to Family Access by clicking on "account information."
Click on the ‘Family Access’ link to get the login screen (shown below). Your login and password is not case specific. The login is a combination of the first five letters of the last name, first three letters of the first name and three numbers assigned by the student system for each parent.
Example: John Smith would login as smithjoh000, as written under Guardian Login. If you have a last name with less than 5 letters, use spaces to equal the five letters of the last name and then type the first three letters of the first name with the numbers assigned by the student system. Example: Mary Lee would login as lee mar000 as written under Guardian Login.
