iSante 12.3 Release

iSante 12.3 was released yesterday.  This release includes the following list of priorities:

  • Forms modifications (based on the paper forms at http://isante.googlecode.com/files/newForms12.3.zip )
    • New data elements added to the forms for recording and reporting Malaria
    • New data elements added to the forms to support the Healthy Women and Children Project (PAHO) in the Ob-gyn and pediatric primary care forms
  • Improved usability in the Patient Search and Merge function
  • Addition of Malaria reports
    • Prevalence Malaria
    • Prevalence Malaria < 5 years
    • Tested for Malaria
    • Treated for Malaria
    • Tested for Malaria < 5 years
    • Treated for Malaria < 5 years
    • Number of pregnant women tested for malaria
    • Number of pregnant women diagnosed for malaria
    • Number of pregnant women treated for malaria
  • Disease Surveillance report (per site, department, and total for country)
  • Other reporting modifications to inactive/active patient reports, and pregnancy reports
  • Updated ART Eligibility Criteria
  • Administration Modifications
    • Updated software versioning
    • Configuration Console improvements
    • Encrypted backups to make data more secure
    • Support for recovering with an encrypted backup file
Beyond the above listed functional changes in iSante, we also were able to make some process improvements in our release.  We did some pre-release validation testing with in-country folks that have helped with making sure the features were correct and that bugs were found prior to the release.  We are hoping to continue to increase the amount of validation and feedback in our next release.

Malaria Support - May 2012

iSanté (v12.2) and OpenELIS (v2.6) have been updated to now support Malaria care & treatment and Malaria surveillance reporting!  Features include:
  • Malaria data elements added to the primary care and OBGYN forms in iSanté
  • Malaria reports available in iSanté, including: prevalence, tested, and treated counts in primary care; counts of pregnant women tested, diagnosed, and treated;  
  • Updated ART eligibility criteria in iSanté to match the national care directives
  • Malaria tests added to the OpenELIS test catalog
  • Electronic exchange of Malaria test results from OpenELIS to iSanté
  • Malaria testing surveillance report in OpenELIS of both positive and negative test result counts for a specified time period – in XML format to be delivered electronically
  • Malaria case surveillance reporting in OpenELIS of all positive test results – electronic delivery in HL7 CDA format
  • Bug fixes in OpenELIS (details in the change document linked below)
  • Administration update in iSanté to show the Linux console upon boot
  • Updated version numbering scheme for iSanté (details in the change document linked below)

Inital deployment of 9.0RC3 (supporting HL7 lab interface) at HUP, along with OpenELIS 2.4 (the other 1/2 of the equation).  iSante is in brisk use according to Steve's usage stats.

Site Replication Status -- March 8, 2012

iSanté currently has a total of 73 sites who have recorded patients, including 37 sites running their own servers.

In the last two weeks, 58 sites have recorded patient visits via direct access to the ASP server in Seattle (26), or via replication (32).

Public Demo Site Upgraded to 9.0 RC1

Eric (with a bit of help from me) has moved the public demo site (https://isante-demo.cirg.washington.edu/isante/) from Windows to Linux and upgraded it to 9.0 RC1.

Le nom de domaine ugp.ht a expiré et donc les sites consolidés être hébergé à isante.ugp.ht ne sont plus accessibles à cette adresse. Ils sont accessibles en utilisant l'adresse IP du serveur à l'URL ci-après. https://200.4.189.44/consolidatedNoId/ https://200.4.189.44/consolidatedId/ J'ai aussi mis à jour la page de notification à l'ancien emplacement du site consolidés pour inclure ces URL.

The ugp.ht domain name has expired and so the consolidated sites being hosted at isante.ugp.ht are no longer accessible using that address. They are accessible using the server's IP address at the following URLs. https://200.4.189.44/consolidatedNoId/ https://200.4.189.44/consolidatedId/ I have also updated the notification page at the old location of the consolidated site to include these URLs.

(As of last night, the Haiti and Seattle consolidated sites (https://isante.ugp.ht/consolidatedNoId/isante/, https://isante.ugp.ht/consolidatedId/isante/, http://isante-consolidated.cirg.washington.edu/isante/) are all running 9.0 RC1.
