Our Mission and Purpose

The mission of the Irving High School Sports Medicine program is to provide athlete-centered care to the athletes of Irving High School that addresses their individual needs and concerns.  In order to provide the best care for our athletes, we strive to use prudent and sound decision-making based on the sports medicine fields' best practices and research based applications.

Athletic trainers are allied health professional that specialize in prevention, assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of the injuries and illnesses that occur to athletes and the physically active.  In cases of more severe athletic injuries, athletic trainers provide acute traumatic care such as splinting and bracing and provide referrals to specialists.  The Irving High School Sports Medicine team provides complete care to athletes of all sports.
