Objectives of the action

1.      Familiarising business and employers’ federations in target countries with parts of the acquis communautaire related to the four themes: energy, environment, health and safety at work and economic development.

2.      Reinforcing the ability of BROs to optimally advocate the interests of their members vis-à-vis the national/regional governments and the EU to deliver (more) adequate services to member companies.

3.      Creating tangible results in the form of publications (toolboxes, leaflets, cds, translated guides, etc.) material goods to facilitate implementation.

4.      Creating results in the form of improved regional networks, closer cooperation with the EU27, relations with the Brussels based lobby world, how to apply for European funding, etc.

Final beneficiaries

The BROs in the target countries mentioned above. Further organisations that will be targeted are branch offices and local members of all of the above-mentioned federations as well as companies based in the respective countries and member of the target BROs.

Estimated results

BOSMIP III will seek a rapid multiplication of knowledge and expertise on acquis-related issues among and within the BROs. Participants will be trained to subsequently themselves train or advice representatives of branch offices, local organisations and companies. Learning from mistakes and seeing how they can be overcome are invaluable experience. BOSMIP III will allow for capacity building and strengthening of BROs as well.
