What age of students do you accept?
Students' ages range from pre-school through high school. Students interested in attending our school are carefully placed according to their age and linguistic skills. Parents may arrange try-out visits to school prior to enrollment to facilitate the match.
Do you teach traditional or simplified characters?
Our school is committed to teaching traditional Chinese characters. We believe that the traditional characters, compared to the simplified counterparts, better convey character formation and historical roots. This makes the characters and their meanings easier to remember.
What form of training do your teachers receive?
All of our teachers are committed to promoting the Chinese language and culture to this new generation of students. They have received formal education in Taiwan and have either years of experience teaching a second language or a bachelor degree or higher. We have a strong record of recruiting teachers with formal instructions in teaching. Teachers are encouraged to attend annual conferences regarding teaching practices.
How much is tuition?
Tuition is based on the number of students enrolled and the number of teachers hired. The 2011-2012 tuition was $200/student per semester. This covers the cost of 15 three-hour classes each semester.
How do I contact you? Where are you located?
