Our Home

Est. March 2006

We bought our home in March of 06 from an old lady who was going into an assisted living home.  They were the original buyers from when it was built.  It's a 2 bed/2 bath.  We have already finished half the basement into a family room bringing the sq. footage to around 1550.  We are slowly updating everything else in the house.

On the left is looking in from the front door, straight ahead is a coat closet, and to the left is the garage door.  On the right is looking in from the garage door.

Living Area

We installed laminate wood floors, repainted, tiled the kitchen floor and fireplace (you can't see either in the pics), took out the glass siding door that seperated the living area and sunroom, painted the trim white and installed white doors.

Left to do: finish sunroom (drywall and paint), stain kitchen cabinets, get new countertops, and put recess lighting in the kitchen.

Master Bathroom

This room will eventually be completely gutted and made bigger.  We haven't done anything to it since moving in so I'm not putting up pictures.

Extra Bedroom

The only thing we have done in here is paint.

Left to do:  Paint trim white, install white doors, get pictures professionally framed, new carpet, make comforter (making my own with my mother in-law), and move computer desk downstairs

Extra Bathroom

This bathroom will eventually be completely gutted and redone.  To hold us over until remodel time we painted it.

I did all the landscaping.  I took all the rock and bushes out myself as well as put in the landscaping rock.  My mother in-law did most of the planting.  She would buy stuff and plant it while I was at work and then tell me.  I liked everything but the big bush.  I'm taking it out.  I hate it and it attracts a ton of HUGE bumble bees!!  My dh built the new steps on the deck.  My dh and father in-law installed the fence.

Left to do:  Fit top brick together, paint house trim, put in stamped concrete patio and walkway, and fix the hand railings
