Iota Sigma Pi is a national honor society for women in chemistry. Its major objectives are
  • to promote interest in chemistry among women students
  • to foster mutual advancement in academic, business, and social life
  • to stimulate personal accomplishment in chemical field

All members in the Cleveland, OH area are assigned to the Fluorine chapter, which has been in existence since 1925. We hold several events each year, along with outreach activities to female students in the form of scholarships, awards, and chemistry demonstrations.

A benefit to membership in Iota Sigma Pi is the networking that occurs between our members. The Fluorine Chapter has a mixture of women with a variety of chemical interests: our members are from industry, government and academia and include both faculty and students. The size of our group is small enough for everyone to get to know one another.
