Short Bio
Ioannis Korkos is a Senior Lecturer in Economics and Finance at the London South Bank University and a Research Fellow at the University of Essex. He holds a PhD in Finance from the University of Essex, an MRes in Finance from University of Essex, a MSc in Banking and Finance from the International Hellenic University and a BSc in Economics from University of Macedonia.
Ioannis' research examines explosive time series and macroprudential policy. Ioannis has experience in time series econometrics, financial modelling and quantitative analysis. During his doctoral studies, he received funding by the Economics and Research Council (ESRC) and he has taken part on conferences and workshops in the UK, Italy, Cyprus and Greece.
Furthermore, Ioannis is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (D2, AFHEA) and he teaches econometric methods, data analysis, statistics and mathematics to postgraduate as well as undergraduate students. Moreover, he supervises both postgraduate and undergraduate students on their dissertation projects. Ioannis has some working experience in accounting and finance and consulting.
Finally, Ioannis has experience in using MATLAB, GAUSS, Python and various other software.
