Dear International Club Member,

In December, we had very informative presentation and a relevant question and answer section by Her Excellency Ambassador Al-Mughairy from the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman. Wednesday, January 9th, we welcome His Excellency Ambassador Elin Suleymanov from the Embassy of Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan, on the Caspian Sea, is a significant oil and gas exporter and Azeri’s account for approximately 16% of neighboring Iran’s population.

We will be meeting at the Doubletree Hotel, 210 Holiday Court in Annapolis. Our monthly events begin with a cocktail hour at 6:00 pm; dinner at 7:00 pm and our speaker will begin at 8:00 pm. The meetings are generally over by 9:00 pm.

Please send in your reservations early with a check for the appropriate amount. All reservations are made on a first received, best seating basis. Our meetings will be the first Wednesday of each month September though June, with the exception of January 2013, which is the second Wednesday. Notifications of future meetings are sent approximately two to three weeks prior to each event.

Any group of members can reserve a table for ten by requesting a table and sending a check or checks that meet the cost of the dinners ($300.00 for 10). You can have smaller numbers seated together by sending in the names with checks for all of the people with whom you wish to be seated in a single envelope. Please write separate checks for reservations and membership.

The official deadline for the receipt of reservations is noon on the last Friday before our Wednesday meeting. Afternoon on Monday, we must inform the hotel of the number of reservations and that becomes the base number for which the club is obligated to pay.

Anne Arundel County School closing our evening event will be cancelled.

WNAV 1430 announces school closings.

If plausible, members included in our Email distribution will receive a cancellation notice.
